PLN Proposes IDR 3 Trillion State Capital Injection for 2025 to Electrify Remote Areas

PT PLN (Persero) remains committed to bringing electricity to every corner of the nation.

Together with the government, we will continue to push for equal access to electricity, including in the 3T (remote, frontier, and outermost) regions.

I am proud to lead PLN in our mission to achieve 100% electrification in remote areas. This commitment aligns with our goal of ensuring energy justice across Indonesia.

PLN has proposed an allocation of state capital injection (PMN) for the Village Electricity Program (Lisdes) in 2025 to electrify 85,000 customers in 1,092 villages.

Through digital transformation, PLN’s Rural Area Electrification Program (Lisdes) roadmap is now integrated with geospatial maps, ensuring precise planning and execution.

This initiative not only supports infrastructure but also boosts local economies, creating job opportunities and driving regional growth.

Elevating Indonesia's Clean Energy Profile: Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant.

Today, we celebrated a historic milestone as President Joko Widodo officially launched the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant, largest in South East Asia and 3rd largest in the world, boasting a remarkable 192 MWp capacity in Purwakarta, West Java. This achievement signifies our nation's commitment to a sustainable energy transition, striving for Net Zero Emissions by 2060.

President #Jokowi's unwavering support for PT PLN (Persero)'s mission in transition energy is a testament to our dedication to cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions. The collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Minister Arifin Tasrif, Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Minister Erick Thohir, and international partners, such as Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and the government of the United Arab Emirates, have made this accomplishment possible.

At PLN, I understand that the path to a greener future must be a global effort, as climate change is a shared concern. We welcome collaboration, as it's through collective action that we can truly make a difference.

The Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant is not only an environmental triumph but also a driving force for our economy, fostering growth in logistics, tourism, manufacturing, agriculture, and the halal economy sectors. This venture is a vital step towards our NZE aspirations, highlighting our commitment to a cleaner, greener future.
