For the longest time, I sat on this idea –

I knew it would work, but I kept procrastinating.

When I started working on myself, I felt alone:
- no one around me understood why I prioritized self-improvement over weekend plans
- I had no one to share my hunger for growth, learning & becoming better.

I didn’t want others to go through the same loneliness.
So, I built a solution.

That’s how Like Mind Tribe was born:
- a space for self-growth seekers to connect.
- a community for people who feel misunderstood in their journey.
- a place I wish existed when I needed it the most.

But the hard part is doing it all alone.
Being a solo founder sounds cool—until reality hits:

☑ Overcoming the fear of starting something new.
I had this idea for ages but kept delaying it. The hardest part is taking that first imperfect step. I was stuck in an endless loop of what-ifs.

☑ Managing everything solo.
Content creation, personal life, travel, and now community-building—honestly, it’s a lot.

☑ Designing a worthy experience.
You can’t just throw people into a room and expect magic. Every event needs planning—venue, timing, activities, season, city, even the mood of the attendees sometimes.

Some days, I nail it.
Some others, I don’t.

But every day, I remind myself I built Like Mind Tribe because:
- people need it.
- I need it.
And that makes all the hard days worth it.

If you’ve ever had an idea you kept postponing, here’s your sign to start.
Because starting scared is better than never starting at all.

What’s one idea you’ve been sitting on for too long?

I STRUGGLE to manage my personal finances despite having a master's degree in finance!

Especially after my thrilling transition from a steady 9-5 to the unpredictable world of freelancing.

I have scaled my monthly income from INR 50,000 in 2018 to over a couple of lakhs now.

However, managing personal finances in this new landscape sometimes feels daunting (yes, even to someone with a finance background like myself!)

When I worked a traditional 9-5, budgeting was straightforward –
A consistent paycheck and a few fixed expenses at the end of each month made planning easy!

Freelancing, however, introduces variability – some months flourish, others fall short.

With time, I realized that the key to staying afloat is tracking my income and expenses meticulously:

📍 Every 13th of the month, I make it a ritual to scrutinize my bank statement. This habit highlights unnecessary expenditures and spots areas suitable for cutbacks.

📍 Categorizing expenses into travel, food, work, personal, and miscellaneous help too. I don't allocate strict budgets but remain conscious of overspending.

For instance, if work demands travel, I obviously cannot skip the travel part. But I'll avoid dining out or ordering takeaways to balance the scales. Such small, mindful adjustments make a big difference.

📍 Investing also plays a crucial role.
I lean on SIPs (Systematic Investment Plans) in reliable mutual funds for steady growth. When markets dip, I seize the opportunity to invest in stocks, focusing on long-term gains. Day trading is a big NO for me – just strategic, patient investing.

This system isn't flawless, but it works for me. It’s a work in progress. As I aim to formalize my business and scale up I know more structured strategies will follow. For now, these practices keep my finances in check.

What about you? How do you manage your money?

I'd love to learn more from your tips and strategies :)

P.S. Money management is a marathon, not a sprint. Navigate accordingly!
