I can't tell you how this virus will impact the job market, economy, etc. Nobody really can and stressing about it will only overwhelm you into unproductive thoughts.

I CAN say that Google is still hiring. Many companies are. Many companies have moved their onsite process all the way through onboarding into remote technologies.

Move through discouragement quickly. Keep applying. Now more than ever it's important that you take your time in quarantine to advocate for yourself, network strategically, and ensure that what you have on your resume is reflective of the amazing experience you have.

Sending you love during these times, I pray you and your loved ones are healthy. Don't forget to get up and walk, to pet the dog, to tell the loved ones you're with how much they mean to you.

I'm getting disrespectful messages attacking my character about the recruiter “ghosting“ content I wrote. I'm exhausted responding personally.

Providing people with resources to support them when they've been ghosted (or to reduce their chances of ghosting in the future) doesn't mean I believe that ghosting is ok.

Me saying that a recruiter isn't necessarily bad even though they've ghosted someone does not mean I believe people don't matter.

I'm not a recruiter, but I've worked with hundreds. The BEST recruiters I know slip up, forget to call, or respond. It doesn't make it ok, but it happens. I've been ghosted myself.

I don't advocate for crappy candidate experience & won't allow my desire to help others be silenced because some here had negative experiences and have now become social media bullies; twisting my agenda and saying I'm corrupt. YES bad things are happening, but I'm here to be part of the change.

If you're here to twist my words and spread negativity in the space I've worked so hard to grow virtual flowers in, keep scrolling. Better yet, send a nasty message so I can see your true character and block you! I won't advocate for this perspective and associate with it. I'm here to grow and make changes positively.
