Airbnb proved once again they are a design-focused company and a leader in design thinking. 💎

This is a great example of enhancing the user experience with animation. In many products, the animation is just an afterthought or not existing. But Airbnb recognized the value of it early on, and it's been leveraging it ever since.

The attention to detail is unparalleled, and I love to see that some companies still acknowledge the value of great UI. 🫶

With the rise of demand for UX designers, UI design was pushed on the side, but I believe that great UX is almost impossible to achieve without great UI and vice versa.

It's sad to see that UI Designers are being undervalued, even though mastering the skill takes years of practice, and there are no shortcuts (compared to many UX Bootcamps).

This experimental display typeface by Katharina Gresch is next level 🔝

I love how adjusting the different axes changes the personality.
This kind of variable font is truly versatile.

I can already see using the playful style for the logo or hero section and combining it with a more legible regular style.

So far, most of the indie makers were developers because they had the ability to ship, but designers are now well-positioned to turn this around and create well-designed products with the help of AI.

I predict that we'll see an increasing number of designers who can ship, more well-designed products, and more design-led companies.
