Mia and James, being your dad is the best thing I will ever be.

You are my greatest blessing, and every day your mother and I are in awe of your beautiful hearts, minds, and souls.

Seeing the world through your eyes and seeing you grow into the two remarkable young people you are fills us with a joy that is indescribable (One day when you’re parents, you’ll know what I mean 😉).

We love you, we are proud of you, and we’re with you every step of the way!

When the Key Bridge collapsed, the challenge of clearing the wreckage was staggering.

This week, we reopened the full federal channel to our Port. This is government cooperation at its best—we can get big things done when we work together.

First Lady Dawn Flythe Moore, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, and I celebrated #BlackHistoryMonth all week with receptions and gatherings.

Here’s to closing out the week with extraordinary people.
When I was 3, I saw my dad die from a rare virus. This is one of our last family photos. My mom was left to raise my sisters and me alone. She sacrificed so that I could become an Army officer, Rhodes Scholar, and CEO.

I’m running for Governor of Maryland because everyone deserves the same shot to succeed. #ThrowbackThursday

By being fiscally disciplined and making targeted investments, our Administration will succeed in growing our state's economy while also making Maryland more affordable and safer for families looking to start their lives here.
Last night our family matriarch, Mrs. Winell Thomas, affectionately known as Mama Win, went to be with the Lord.

Funeral services will be private with our family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to hospicechesapeake.org

On Opening Day of Session, the halls of the State House come alive with public servants ready to do the people's work.

I'm grateful for the dedication and partnership of all our remarkable legislators and I'm eager work together to deliver wins for Marylanders over the next 90 days.

During our first year, Marylanders learned what to expect from this administration: That we will move fast, that we will be responsive, and that we will be pragmatic partners to all of our communities.

That will not change.

This session, we will continue to lead on the issues facing Marylanders, including:

➡️ Investing in public education to make Maryland’s schools the best in the country.

➡️ Funding law enforcement and partnering with local government to make every Marylander feel safe.

➡️ Addressing Maryland’s affordability crisis with record investments in affordable housing and childcare.

➡️ Continuing our all-out assault on child poverty.

This is our time to lead, and together, we will do just that.
Lamar Jackson exemplifies the heart and work ethic that sets him apart as not only a generational talent in the NFL, but someone who cares deeply about his community.

Congrats, MVP (x2), you earned it! #RavensFlock

During Easter today, the First Lady and I are praying for all of the victims of the Key Bridge collapse and their loved ones, as well as the first responders and emergency personnel who have been working around the clock.

This week has been difficult for Maryland, and the challenge before us is enormous, but I know we are going to rise to meet this moment because we are #MarylandTough and #BaltimoreStrong.

To everyone celebrating today, please have a blessed and peaceful Easter.

Today, we signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding between the federal government and the state of Maryland to strengthen our partnership on offshore wind.

Offshore wind means new manufacturing jobs.

Offshore wind means higher wages.

Offshore wind means more opportunity to grow wealth for Maryland families. We don’t have to choose between a green economy and a growing economy. We can, and we will choose both – and offshore wind is how we do it.

Climate justice is economic justice, and Maryland is grateful to President Biden, Secretary Haaland, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Senator Van Hollen, Congressman John Sarbanes, National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi, and our federal delegation for their partnership in building a more sustainable and prosperous future.
