Procrastination is the thief of time, so don't let it steal your precious commodity. Whatever you’ve set out to do, do it. Whether it’s writing a book, learning a skill, going back to school, starting a business, getting a life partner, changing a bad habit, or making new friends. There are certain things you can only do at a given time.

I often hear people make comments like that. It's a common sentiment, but it overlooks an important truth: people are not inherently bad; sometimes, life just puts them in difficult situations.

We all go through phases, face challenges, and deal with pressures that can change how we behave or react. It's easy to judge someone based on a single moment or a temporary lapse, but we must remember that these moments don't define a person’s entire character.

Instead of holding grudges or feeling disappointed when someone doesn't meet our expectations, let's try to approach the situation with empathy. Understand that there might be underlying struggles influencing their actions. Everyone has their own story, and we might not always see the full picture.

We all make mistakes… don’t we? And we all have the potential to grow and improve….. So, before we label someone as “bad“ or “changed,“ consider the possibility that they're just going through a tough time.

Life is a journey, and we are all navigating it the best we can.

As I mentioned earlier, I received an overwhelming response to the position I had posted. Considering the volume of applications, it’s almost impossible for me to share individual feedback with everyone. However, as promised, I’m sharing an update here on LinkedIn!

I have shortlisted three candidates who will be receiving my call before the end of the day. For those who don’t hear back, please don’t feel disheartened. Every rejection is a redirection toward something better - it’s all part of the journey!

A lot of candidates had asked for feedback during the interview process. While I managed to share it with a few, the truth is that most of you were great. Neither I nor you are perfect - there’s always room for improvement, and we grow by learning from each experience.

𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑶𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔:

1. 𝑵𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔.

Whether it’s salary or job title, don’t compromise just because you’re in between jobs. Always know your worth and aim for what you truly deserve.

2. 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒚.

If your organization didn’t keep its promises, or you didn’t like the culture or manager, ensure you have another offer in hand before resigning. Nothing in life is perfect - it’s what you make of it.

3. 𝑨𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒅 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈.

Jumping between offers may give you short-term gains but could eventually harm your credibility in the long run.

4. 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒍𝒚.

Before applying to a company, research thoroughly. It not only boosts your confidence but also leaves a positive impression on the hiring manager.

5. 𝑩𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒋𝒐𝒃.

Experienced professionals can easily spot dishonesty. Transparency always works in your favor.

6. 𝑻𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒆.

Only include what you have done. Be ready to confidently explain every detail in your résumé during interviews.

7. 𝑩𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅.

Boldness in interviews is important, but overconfidence can work against you. Balance is key.

8. 𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈.

There’s always something new to improve upon. Stay open to growth and feedback - it’s what sets you apart.

Congratulations to those who were shortlisted! To those who couldn’t make it this time, don’t lose hope. You are skilled, capable, and an amazing fit for the right opportunity. It’s just that this role didn’t align with your strengths or goals at this point in time. Keep trying, keep shining, and keep rising - your success is waiting for you just around the corner!
