Today, we invited every single member of team Vestas from across the world to join us for a festive concert with Lukas Graham. Although we were only able to host limited colleagues to watch in person from our Lem facility – our global testing centre for new blade designs – it was a real pleasure to take it back to where it all started for Vestas, and for the global wind industry.

I’m delighted to have Lukas Graham join us once again for this festive celebration. The band shares our passion for creating a sustainable future, and they are using the platform they’ve built through their music to drive much needed change. To this end, Vestas and Lukas Graham are proud to announce that we will work closer going forward, with the band’s concerts soon to be #PoweredbyVestas. Our message to the music industry is that renewables are ready to transform music by making it more sustainable

I invite you to stay tuned for more as we ramp up this journey in 2022, and I’d also like to take this opportunity to recognise every one of my colleagues’ great efforts to support Vestas in 2021, in our journey to build a more sustainable future. Thank you, truly.

Today, Mr. Wind, Anders Vedel, handed on the baton as #Vestas CTO to Anders Nielsen, and TON - Tommy Rahbek Nielsen was confirmed as COO. COVID-19 restrictions meant everyone couldn’t be present at the townhall in our HQ in Aarhus, but it was great to congratulate all three on their new roles and connect with colleagues online and in the room. Can’t wait to continue Vestas’ journey with all three.

I’m proud to see our customer, SSE Renewables milestone live: the installation of the last turbine at Seagreen offshore wind park – Scotland’s largest!

It was fantastic to be onsite today together with our partner Stephen Wheeler from SSE and many other colleagues. Big congratulations to all involved– - this is a great example of what strong partnerships can achieve.

The Seagreen project will power more than 1.6 million UK homes and will make a significant contribution to realising the UK’s offshore wind target.

Up next: commissioning. I look forward to our continued efforts!

I'm astonished that a state-owned company from a fellow EU-country would openly question sanctions against Russia - something that would only benefit Russia and its sympathisers.

We, Vestas, have approached political stakeholders to find a sensible resolution to the matter, which together with a public conversation around the arbitration’s broader impact on the perceived unity of EU member states will hopefully cause Fortum to reconsider its position.
