“ When a Mother’s Prayer Becomes Reality and a Dream Becomes a Rolls-Royce ”
After a long journey with 450,000 customers and more than 6.8 million orders, the moment everyone in Qatar was waiting for finally arrived: announcing the winner of the legendary Rolls-Royce Spectre giveaway. From thousands of participants, the prize went to Ahmed bin Saad Al-Bu’afrah Al-Kuwari, a young Qatari who placed just two orders on the day of the draw, one of which was the winning order. Even though Ahmed wasn’t the highest customer (the top customer placed 870 orders), luck and blessings were on his side. His manager even gave him a day off to celebrate this incredible moment.
I sat with Ahmed after he picked up the car and asked him, “Tell me, what was going on when you placed that winning order?” He smiled and said:
“Honestly, I always think of my mom when I order food. If I’m ordering for myself especially from healthy restaurants & I include something for her, even if she doesn’t ask. That day, I also placed another order for the housemaids at home to give them a break from cooking. My mom found out later and prayed for me with all her heart, asking Allah to bless me in ways I can’t imagine. I never thought those blessings would come as a Rolls-Royce. The competition was tough, and I didn’t even think I had a chance. On the day of the draw, I was sleeping after a long, tiring day between work and the construction site. When I got your call, I thought it was fake at first. But then I recognized your voice, and after I hung up, I sat there for 30 minutes trying to process that it was real. My dream actually came true.”
Today, in the middle of the celebrations at Mall of Qatar, Ahmed received the keys to his new Rolls-Royce, proving that sometimes it’s not about how many orders you place, it’s about the blessings behind them. His story shows us the power of a mother’s prayer and how being thoughtful and kind can open doors to unexpected success.
