We are proud to announce the signing of a new Group Disability Agreement for all Hermès entities in France.

Signed on 29 November with all of the Group’s representative trade unions, the aim of this third disability agreement is to reflect the full attention paid to the employment of people with disabilities while perpetuating the effective actions already in place.

Since 2017, Hermès has been firmly committed to the inclusion and continued employment of people with disabilities. This strong commitment is bearing fruit, with an employment rate of 6.85%, or more than 750 people with disabilities in our workforce.

Our network of disability ambassadors and points of contact will continue to work with commitment on a daily basis to shape our human odyssey.

More than thirty Livelihoods NGOs from Africa, India, and South America (over 20 nationalities) came specially to the Hermès offices in Pantin on Monday 11 March to present their projects to the 1,000 visitors, many of whom were Group employees.

Livelihoods' mission is to sustainably improve the living conditions of rural and agricultural communities that depend on natural ecosystems, by developing large-scale, long-term projects such as mangrove restoration, agroforestry and the distribution of improved stoves. Livelihoods projects aim to generate a positive impact on the climate, communities and biodiversity.

Ultimately, more than 25 projects will impact 2.8 million people by planting 173 million trees and replanting or restoring 150,000 hectares, an area fifteen times the size of Paris. The current portfolio of Livelihoods carbon funds also aims to sequester the equivalent of 26 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over the life of the projects.

Hermès’ commitment to the Livelihoods carbon funds has been constant since 2012, alongside 20 partner companies, and helps to make these actions and achievements on the ground possible.

An expression of free-spirited elegance, Barénia is the new women's fragrance created by Christine Nagel, the house's perfumer :

“I was inspired by these women, driven by curiosity and true impulse, with a boldness and accuracy that are almost fearless. For me, working on a Hermès chypre was a search for beauty, for the spirit of these women and of the house, not in the absolute but on a skin.”

Created by Philippe Mouquet and inspired by the Collier de Chien bracelet, the refillable object brings together limpidly curved glass and precious metal.

Discover Barénia's inspiration.
