📢 Microsoft continues strategic partnership with OpenAI, and to partner on Stargate 🤝

Check out four key elements from the contract through 2030 👇

✅ Microsoft has rights to OpenAI IP (inclusive of model and infrastructure) for use within our products like Microsoft Copilot.

✅ The OpenAI API is exclusive to Azure, runs on Azure and is also available through the Azure OpenAI Service.

✅ Microsoft and OpenAI have revenue sharing agreements that flow both ways, ensuring that both companies benefit from increased use of new and existing models.

✅ Microsoft remains a major investor in OpenAI, providing funding and capacity to support their advancements and, in turn, benefiting from their growth in valuation.

📰 OpenAI recently made a new, large Azure commitment that will continue to support all OpenAI products as well as training. This new agreement also includes changes to the exclusivity on new capacity, moving to a model where Microsoft has a right of first refusal (ROFR). To further support OpenAI, Microsoft has approved OpenAI’s ability to build additional capacity, primarily for research and training of models.

Out-of-the-box agents in Microsoft 365 ✨

✅ Employee Self-Service Agent: Provides quick answers to workplace policy questions and manages key HR and IT tasks like benefits, payroll, leave of absence, and laptop requests, all in one place. Now in private preview

✅ Facilitator agent: Enhances collaboration in Teams meetings and chats by taking real-time notes and sharing summaries of important information. This agent is in preview.

✅ Interpreter agent: Provides real-time interpretation in Teams meetings in up to nine languages, allowing participants to speak and listen in their preferred language. This agent will be in preview early next year.

✅ Project Manager agent: Automates project management in Planner, handling everything from plan creation to task execution, progress tracking, and status reporting. This agent is in preview.

An exciting day exploring the new Microsoft Headquarters campus! 🏢✨
18 new buildings, 6.7 million square feet of renovated workspace, $150 million in transportation improvements, public spaces, sports fields and green space once complete.

The highlight for me was experiencing the immense pride when showcasing the new space to my visiting family, especially considering the sacrifices we made moving across the world. Walking through the food halls featuring a diverse range of cuisines, cafes, markets, pubs, shops, health centers and more felt truly surreal.

Jessica Rowbotham's favorite part was the dessert hall with Salt & Straw ice cream🍦, L'Experience bakery 🥐, Pinkabella Cupcakes 🍰, DOTE espresso 🍫. I'm starting to see a theme 😅.

Fun facts about the new campus:
🚚 An underground logistics tunnel system spanning one mile streamlines 1.25 million catering transactions and over 4 million more transactions.
🚴‍♂️ Boasting 2.5 miles of walking and bike trails, multi-purpose fields, and a cricket pitch, the campus is designed for both work and play.
🐟 Home to a school of 25-year-old koi fish, the revitalized Lake Bill reflects a commitment to natural habitats.
🌲 Nearly 1,000 trees have been preserved, enough wood to cover 12 basketball courts, and an additional 2,319 trees will be replanted.
👩‍🍳 Setting a new standard for dining operations, the campus features 77,000 square feet of all-electric kitchens, contributing to Microsoft's Carbon Negative goal by 2030.

Launched autonomous agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio! ✅

Over the past 18 months, I’ve had the privilege of leading the marketing efforts for autonomous agents—transforming what was once just a concept into a reality.

We first introduced autonomous agents in preview during Microsoft Build 2024, where Satya Nadella showcased them on stage. Today, they are generally available, and organizations worldwide are harnessing the power of agentic workflows to transform their business processes.

I had the pleasure of working hand-in-hand with the incredible Engineering teams across Product Management, Development, and Design to bring this to life.
