Dear hiring managers,

Job seekers can’t get a job without experience, and job seekers can’t get experience without a job.

You laid people off and you don’t want to hire people who were laid off.

You don’t want to hire professionals with 30 years of experience. But you want to hire 30 year-olds with 15 years of experience.

Can we please change the hiring process?

Just give someone a chance.

If every hiring manager did this with just one job this coming week, it would a great start.

You are missing out on so many wonderful candidates by using these ridiculous practices.

If it’s so hard to hire. Try something new.

Try changing your expectations. You’ll be pleasantly suprised. I am CONFIDENT of that.

I talk to job seekers everyday. I know.

Believe in people. They will rise to the occasion.

This is why people are so upset with recruiters.

A recruiter who runs a recruiting firm gets on Linkedin today and tells job seekers to be aware of their body language while interviewing.

Because she interviewed an excellent candidate on paper. But she yawned. 🥱Yes YAWNED during the interview. So she wasn't a good candidate anymore.

The lack of awareness from the recruiter is the real issue in my eyes.

Anxiety causes yawning. People get nervous during interviews. Or maybe she was tired. I don't know. But it doesn't matter.

The real issue is the recruiter got online and roasted the candidate online for yawning. That's the bad behavior. 🤦‍♀️

Give job seekers some slack. They aren't robots. They aren't perfect. They are human.

We are all human.

I need to say it again, unfortunately....

You do not have an offer until it's in WRITING.

You do not need to do FREE work to get a job.

You DESERVE to get paid fair market value.

You are not their FAMILY...no matter what they say.

You do NOT need to be a rock star. (Code for you need to do a lot, without support)

You DESERVE to be treated fairly. For a great day of work.

That's it. It's a job.

Loyalty is earned.
