I saw a job post today: “The typical salary range for this role is $177,500 to $330,200 USD. The exact offer will be determined by a variety of factors such as the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications, and experience relative to the requirements of the role.“ This is a perfect example of organizations rendering pay transparency policies into absolute bullshit. How can one qualified candidate make nearly 100% more than another qualified candidate? This is the DEI performance/compliance we're talking about. Transparency is supposed to reduce pay inequities... but y'all just built it right in. YIKES.
