Today is my 30th birthday 😊🎂

I never made it to the Forbes 30 under 30 like a 18 year old me thought I wanted.

But... I'm happy. And I know how lucky that makes me.

So with a dog warming my feet and the sound of my wife and daughter playing in the room next to me, I want to say thank you to everyone reading who has helped made this a good life - personal or professional. I appreciate you :)

This is me and my dog mate, Eric.

I'll admit it. I am a crazy dog person.

But I am with a reason.

This past year has been an absolute hammering on the old mental health.

My wife works at the hospital, so every working day, it's just been me and Eric at home.

There have been so many days where my chest have felt tight with anxiety. Where it could have been so lonely.

But having Eric in the house has been so reassuring. A friend to break the stillness and monotony.

I was never an animal person before, but anyone who underestimates the impact of animals on our lives (and indeed, our work) is really missing a trick.

So thank you Eric. And here is to our furry friends in general. I'm really glad you're in our lives.
