My take on the Canva / Cavalry acquisition:

Canva is insanely well-capitalized, and buying Affinity/Cavalry seems like a play to get into the "pro" market more and take on Adobe. They're big enough to do it, competitive, and will likely beef up Cavalry's resources quite a bit, integrate with Affinity tools, etc...

I predict Cavalry keeps getting better, which will increase adoption a ton and put heat on Adobe, pushing them to develop After Effects even faster.

Win/win for motion designers, IMO.

👀 This is the #aftereffects course we all wish we had when we hit that "intermediate user" plateau. Eran Stern is a friggin' genius, you will learn about features you had no clue existed inside of After Effects.
