Can you be deeply ambitious and still put God first?

At what point does ambition pull you away from God instead of toward him?

Someone asked me this today on the podcast and here’s what I told her:

Ambition was given to you BY God.

So was the ability to produce wealth.

They are gifts meant to glorify Him and serve others.

That only becomes a problem when wealth becomes the thing you worship instead.

The question isn’t faith OR success. It’s: what is the order of priorities in your life?

These things don’t have to compete, they just need to be prioritized.

Building an empire requires repetition, patience, long periods of concentration and refinement of the same thing over and over.

It is not glamorous.

BUT, it is unbelievably rewarding when you get the rules of the game and learn how to win at it :)
