Excited to introduce ManifestoWriting.com, a new resource for studying and enjoying the craft of brand manifestos.
As a young copywriter, manifestos haunted me.
They were this bizarre form of writing that nobody taught but everyone was expected to just know how to do. I was eager for any kind of guidance, but found nothing online. Even the best books on copywriting only mentioned them in passing.
I created this site to fill that void.
Key features:
✓ 50+ inspiring examples
✓ Links to all originals
✓ In-depth articles
✓ Downloadable cheat sheets
The knowledge hub also contains over 35,000 words of original insight and analysis.
The methods are centered around a personal approach I developed over the last 12 years inside the creative studios at Meta and Apple. It breaks down the most common manifesto types and offers in-depth guidance on structure, all of which are pulled and inspired by great examples in the manifesto gallery.
Explore great spots from:
→ Apple
→ Beats by Dre
→ Nike
→ Airbnb
→ PlayStation
The oldest manifesto is from 1915. The newest is from March. (The incredible CoorDown “Assume That I Can“ spot made by SMALL. It's a flawless example of a U Shape Manifesto.)
This is only the beginning. Every month, I'll be adding
... more deep dives on every manifesto
... more great examples
... tons of non-manifesto inspiration
Plus anything else I can think of.
Hope you enjoy!

This is a free resource. My goal is to reach as many people as possible. If you think your network would be interested, please share for visibility. Thank you!
