We moved to Dubai under sad circumstances.
In 2017, while in Paris, we received heartbreaking news:
Our 6-year old son has an incurable disease.
His muscles are breaking down. It is 100% fatal, and his life expectancy is short.
We have no control over how long he lives, so let’s make sure he lives well.
And I knew just the place
Sunshine
White beaches
Swimming pools
Amusement parks
Everything a young boy would love!
So, 3 months later…we moved to Dubai 🇦🇪
There was a dark cloud over us as we arrived with broken hearts.
But the saying, “every cloud has a silver lining,” rings true.
4 years later -
I am so happy to live here.
I’ve met so many inspiring people.
I’ve never felt more “at home” than I do here.
But more importantly:
I wanted to give my son the highest quality of life and I know, he is in the BEST place on earth 🌎
There’s nothing I could write that would accurately capture my love for this beautiful country.
The rulers of the UAE promote inclusion, equality, and accessibility for who they beautifully call: People of Determination.
This is home
This is where love is
This is where we belong
