2 months ago, I found out I had cancer...

2 weeks ago, I had surgery to get it removed.

I had parts of 3 ribs removed to extract a tumour.

Then, surgeons re-built them using a synthetic mesh.

MAAN, the first 7 days post-surgery were ROUGH.

I had all kinds of wires coming out of me and medication had me feeling punch-drunk.

But, since I came home a few days ago, recovery has been great.

Feeling stronger every day.

Can walk briskly now and pain is at a 3 out 10, so not too bad at all.

I've been spending my time reading, chilling with family and being grateful I can go to the toilet again without peeing through a tube.

Ahhhh, the joys of not being in control of your bladder.

I'm going to focus on my recovery for another few weeks, but Ill be back again soon, stronger than ever.

Have BIG plans for the next 12 months.

Since my doctor me told I had cancer, I feel my brain being re-wired every day.

It began with realising how ungrateful I'd been for joys I experience every day.

Even stressful things like work, clients and family responsibilities.

I realised they're actually GREAT problems to have.

A few days before my diagnosis I was praying to God.

"Please, if this is cancer, let it be low grade and something I can recover from quickly. If you do this for me, I will be grateful and will never go back to being the same person I was before ever again".

My wish was granted.

Doctors told me I had bone cancer BUT it was low-grade and something they're confident they'll be able to treat with chest-wall surgery.

Now, the ball is in my court.

I need to live up to my promise.

My surgery date will be confirmed soon, once it's done and my recovery begins...

My goal is to come back harder, stronger and more grateful than ever before.

Can't wait.
