I have so much respect for internationals who fight to overcome language- and cultural barriers every single day.

Doing your job and learning an entire language and culture is no easy task and just getting started on that journey deserves respect.

When you hear someone with an accent, think of their journey, sacrifice, and effort to get to where they are today.

Please, make international friends!
Many people who live abroad face a particular challenge:

Going from being an 'acquaintance' to a 'friend'.

Moving to a different country means leaving friends and family behind. That can be both tough and lonely.

Most humans are social beings and need other people in their lives. And when you move abroad, you got no one.

So, if you get a new international colleague, invite them to tag along.
