Mercedes-Benz spendet als Soforthilfe eine Million Euro an Deutsches Rotes Kreuz e.V. | German Red Cross für die Menschen in der Türkei und Syrien, die von den schweren Erdbeben betroffen sind und mit denen Mercedes-Benz über viele Kolleginnen und Kollegen eng verbunden ist.
 
Die Spende wird für die humanitäre Hilfe vor Ort eingesetzt, um die Betroffenen schnell mit dem Nötigsten zu versorgen. Zusätzlich organisieren wir eine Mitarbeiterspendenaktion, in der sich Kolleginnen und Kollegen von Mercedes-Benz AG unbürokratisch an der Soforthilfe beteiligen können.

We beat our own efficiency record travelling more than 1,200 kilometres (745 miles) on a single battery charge – with an incredibly low average consumption of 8.3 kWh/100 km. 🎉
 
 
On its second road trip in real-world traffic, the #VISIONEQXX drove from Stuttgart, Germany, to Silverstone in the UK. This time it reached even further and used even less energy than on its first ride from Stuttgart to the French Riviera: https://lnkd.in/e9qii5gF

Der #VISIONEQXX hat es auf seiner zweiten langen Fahrt im realen Verkehr von unserem Headquarter in Stuttgart nach Silverstone in Großbritannien geschafft. We all love technology that simply makes our lives easier. Here’s one for increased transparency: You can take a look under the hood of the new #GLC without opening it. At speeds of up to 8 km/h the ground between the front wheels is made visible using your #MBUX display. The image is generated by cameras at the front and at the exterior mirrors.
 
May sound like a small thing, but it can be of great help when you’re venturing off the beaten track.

Lange Zeit waren sprechende, selbst fahrende und selbst einparkende Autos reine Hollywood-Phantasien. Dank intelligenter #Technologie und dank unserer Ingenieurinnen und Ingenieure werden immer mehr dieser Ideen Wirklichkeit bei Mercedes-Benz.
 
Automatisiertes Parken etwa ist schon heute verfügbar für unsere Kundinnen und Kunden, zum Beispiel in #EQS und #EQE.

With more customers choosing an electric vehicle, we want to ensure that owning the Mercedes among EVs is as desirable as possible. This includes offering the most convenient charging options. That's why we created a new joint venture with other car manufacturers to build a leading high-powered #charging network across North America.
 
Beyond these newest efforts, we continue to build our own global Mercedes-Benz branded high-powered charging network with the first sites opening later this year. And we are also implementing the North American Charging Standard (NACS) into our electric vehicles in North America.
 
These and many more measures pursue one goal: To accelerate the switch to electric mobility.

Es war eine große Freude, den sächsischen Ministerpräsidenten Michael Kretschmer an unserem Hauptsitz in Stuttgart zu begrüßen.


Für Mercedes-Benz ist Sachsen ein wichtiger Zukunftsstandort: In Kamenz arbeiten unsere Kolleginnen und Kollegen von Accumotive und Mercedes-Benz Energy an hocheffizienten #Batterien und #Batteriespeichern. Bei Accumotive wurden schon mehr als 2 Millionen Antriebsbatterien für unsere Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeuge hergestellt. Unser Engagement in der Region führen wir fort und werden auch die Batterien für die nächste Generation von Mercedes-Benz Elektrofahrzeugen dort fertigen.

Our aim at Mercedes-Benz is to build the world’s most desirable vehicles. That’s true for #cars and #vans alike. Vans is a responsible, yet fully integrated business unit within Mercedes-Benz.

They have the freedom to make all the decisions necessary to cater to the individual needs of their vans customers. At the same time, they have full access to and the benefits from technology- and innovation-sharing with our cars business. Later this year, there will be fully electric van versions available in all segments we serve. And the new dedicated all-electric van architecture VAN.EA will soon take it to the next level.

Unlike cars, the vans business serves two distinctly separate sets of customers with different demands: luxury #private vans and premium #commercial vans.

I am certain: Our vans division is perfectly positioned to deliver to both – with significant upward potential. What that means and how they are going to pull this off in the future will be outlined at our first-ever
