The current situation in the UAE has created a lot of uncertainty.

There are external pressures, geopolitical tensions, and moments where people are unsure about what comes next. At the same time, businesses are still running, patients still need care, and teams are showing up every day to do their work.

In such times, I have realised one thing very clearly.

Before taking care of the business, a leader has to take care of himself.

If the leader is not calm, the organisation cannot stay stable. Your thinking becomes reactive, your communication becomes inconsistent, and that creates more stress across the team. So the first responsibility is to stay grounded, think clearly, and absorb the pressure before it reaches others.

After that, the focus has to shift to people.

In the last couple of weeks, I have personally met more than 150 team members.

These were conversations to understand what they are feeling, what concerns they are carrying, and how they are seeing the situation. When people get clarity and feel heard, their mindset changes. They stop thinking as individuals and start thinking as a team. That sense of togetherness is what keeps the organisation steady.

I believe that trust, authentic communication, and when people feel that leadership is standing with them, the spirit of the organisation stays strong. That is what carries you through.
