🤗 It's hard to get into Google, but even harder to leave Google! 👋 After seven incredible years, I bid farewell to my Google family. The experience exceeded every expectation I had dreamed of since childhood. 🤓 Reflecting on this journey, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the growth, opportunities, and memories I've made. While words can't fully capture this experience, I'm sharing some highlights here with you.

🥳 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑩𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒅 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒆: I joined Google Cloud as a Customer Engineer in 2017, when it was just taking off. Eliot Danner trusted me with my skills to work with some of the biggest customers, teaching me one of the most valuable lessons: “The most effective way to do it, is to do it.“ In 2019, I discovered my passion for Developer Relations through a 20% project. This new path captivated me, leading me from small events to stages with 20k+ developers. Looking back, I'm proud of my extraordinary journey and growth.

👩‍🏫 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔: I had the privilege of working alongside and learning from industry giants. Thomas Kurian's leadership in growing a business to profitability has been a masterclass I've had the privilege to study closely. I know I'll be applying these lessons in my future endeavors. Kelsey Hightower and Eric Brewer became my technical heroes, graciously mentoring me on numerous occasions, shaping both my technical skills and career direction.

🫠 𝑼𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔: The opportunity to present Code Assist demo at Google Cloud NEXT 2023 alongside Brad Calder tops my list. I had the privilege of working on groundbreaking AI product launches with an incredible team. Leaders like Reto Meier, Keith Ballinger, Richard Seroter, Matt Thompson, Ankur Kotwal, Gabe Monroy, Gerrit Kazmaier, and Andi Gutmans trusted me with storytelling for major launches such as Vertex AI, Gemini Code, and Cloud Assist.

🙏 To my Google family – thank you for embracing my ideas, trusting me with crucial projects, and being the best colleagues one could ask for. As I close this chapter, I'm filled with excitement for what's next. Rest assured that my next adventure will be nothing short of awesome. Stay tuned!

The hardest thing I have done in life is prepare for IIT, nothing has surpassed that even today! Season 3 of #kotafactory stuck a cord and I was down memory lane which in hindsight defined a lot of my life! Let me share because I think someone somewhere might benefit from hearing my story.

One of the dialogues:
🥹 “Sabka hogya, Bas mai he reh gaya” This scene felt personal 🥲 😭 Vaibhav’s story in is too close to mine!! The dialogue means “everyone has cleared the exam only I could not”.
I would not change anything about how life turned out after IIT prep but hats off to how real The Viral Fever made this show

Another dialogue that I loved:
🤩 “Tayaari hi jeet hai” — means “preparation is in itself a win” this is absolutely how I feel. The experience of preparing for IIT, THE hardest exam has made me believe that I can do anything in life and THAT IS HUGE! It drives me even today.

🤺 Lesson learned: If things don’t work out the way you want them then it may seem in the moment that you are worthless and you let everyone around you down, that is not real because you are a warrior and warriors don’t loose in the long run, they fight!

🤩 I made it to the Time Square again!!

🤔 People ask me all the time: "What's the secret to your happiness? How did you build your career path?"

My answer is simple, but it took me years to understand it myself.

My passion has always been learning. 📚✨

Not just learning for the sake of knowing more. But learning so I can turn around and share those insights with someone who needs them right now. Someone who can apply them practically to their life and situation today.

Early in my career, I thought success meant having all the answers.

I was wrong. 😅

Real fulfillment came when I realized that teaching is learning, and giving is growing. Every person I mentor teaches me something new. Every question someone asks pushes me to think deeper. 💡

But here's what used to frustrate me: I wanted to help more people, but my time was scattered. Scheduling was chaos. Following up was inconsistent. I couldn't scale my impact without losing the personal connection that made it meaningful. 😓

🏃‍♀️So I picked something I genuinely dislike: running.

This weekend, I crossed the finish line of my first half marathon — 13.1 miles I never thought I’d complete.

Almost every Saturday this year, I laced up my shoes and ran. Even when I didn’t want to. Especially when I didn’t want to.

Was it hard dragging myself to do something I didn’t enjoy?

Absolutely.

Was it worth it?

100%.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱:
When you achieve something in a domain you hate, you prove to yourself that you can stick with anything when life gets hard. When things don’t go your way. When the path isn’t easy.

That’s the mindset that leads to real success.

99% of AI Startups Will Be Dead by Next Year. Why?



We've seen this movie before—and the winners aren't who you think.

Remember the cloud wars of the 2010s? Every company was trying to differentiate on infrastructure, building proprietary platforms, claiming competitive advantage at the "cloud layer."

Then AWS, Azure, and GCP commoditized the entire stack.

The companies that won? They weren't the ones building better infrastructure. They were Snowflake, Datadog, and Stripe—companies solving specific industry problems using cloud as the foundation.

The same thing is happening with AI models right now—but 10x faster.

Here's what most people get wrong—they think the opportunity is in building models or creating "AI platforms." But that's not where the value is.

The AI model layer is becoming a commodity. Fast.

OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta—they're racing to the bottom on price while racing to the top on capabilities. GPT-4, Claude, Gemini—they're all converging on similar performance at commodity pricing.

Just like cloud became infrastructure, AI models are becoming infrastructure.
So where's the actual opportunity?

In solving real problems in specific industries.

Not in building "better AI." In applying AI to problems that have plagued industries for decades:

✅ Healthcare: Patient intake is still manual. Prior authorizations take weeks. Diagnostic backlogs are crushing radiology departments.
✅ Legal: Contract review is still line-by-line human work. Discovery in litigation costs millions and takes months.
✅ Manufacturing: Quality control relies on human inspectors. Predictive maintenance is still reactive. Supply chain optimization is guesswork.
✅ Financial Services: Fraud detection is rule-based and slow. Underwriting takes days when it should take minutes. Compliance is drowning in manual processes.
✅ Construction: Project delays cost billions. Safety incidents are preventable. Resource allocation is inefficient.

The winners won't be AI companies. They'll be industry experts who deeply understand these problems and use AI to solve them.

Here's the playbook:
→ Pick an industry you actually know (not one that looks hot on LinkedIn)
→ Identify the painful, expensive, time-consuming problems that everyone complains about
→ Use AI models (the commodity layer) to solve those specific problems better than anyone else
→ Go so deep into the domain that you understand nuances the big AI companies will never care about

Think vertical, not horizontal.

Bottom line: The opportunity isn't in building AI. It's in being the domain expert who knows exactly how to apply AI to solve expensive, painful problems in your industry.

The only bet that matters is combining domain expertise with AI leverage.
