Cognizant attrition rate - 31% (Quarter ended Dec 21)
 
Infosys attrition rate - 25% (Quarter ended Dec 21)
 
Wipro attrition rate - 22% (Quarter ended Dec 21)
 
TCS attrition rate - 15% (Quarter ended Dec 21)
 
These high numbers scream out 3 key points:
 
(1). IT skills will continue to be in HIGH demand, the game is to keep upskilling. This is such a great news for Freshers. BTW TCS alone hired 80,000 freshers (2x than previous year). 
 
(2). People will go where they are paid MORE. I’m yet to meet anyone who has not bagged at least a 30% hike which is 3 times more than the average increments. So Money = Motivation. 
 
(3). Staff Promotions is a BIG differentiator - TCS offered RECORD promotions 110,000 in Q3 hence only 15% AR.

In my view, 2022 will continue to see higher levels of attrition.
 
Great opportunities for people to ride on this wave until it lasts. ✌

Yesterday I shared a post about what an employee should do during their 90 days notice period.
 
Today I am sharing, what should companies do during the 90 days of an employee: 👇
 
Dear companies,
 
1 - If your counter offer is not accepted, please work on a smooth transition plan with the emp.
 
2 - Evaluate all possibilities of reducing notice period if employee has an early joining. You may not be able to honour it but at least try genuinely.
 
3 - Allow the remaining holidays to be taken during the notice period as normal because it’s employees’ right. 
 
4 - Share the full and final settlement details AT LEAST 1 week before the last day so that emp can review and request for any genuine corrections. 
 
5 - Lastly, if not much, send a THANK YOU card to your leaving emp.

People leaving a company will talk about their experience with the outside world. 
 
Whether they will talk good or bad, depends a lot on their exit experience, so end it well. 🙌
