For years, I’ve used an email hack called the “3 sentence rule“ to let me sort through hundreds of messages/day. Here's how it works:

Instead of treating emails like essays, I treat them like short text messages. I used to let my inbox overflow, but now I get back to people with quick answers right on the spot.

With time, I’ve trained myself to leave out the fluff and
keep only the most essential points in an email. If I have to say more, I just pick up a phone or talk in person.

1. Don't send essays, send texts
2. Keep your email 3 sentences or less
3. Answer right on the spot vs letting it clog up
