“Never underestimate the power of kindness, empathy, and compassion in your interactions with others.“ - Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata - The titan who led with heart, humility, and humanism

🔶 Tata was the epitome of simplicity, he would carry his own bags at the airport.
🔶 A banker would ensure that his team is keeping an elevator on hold at the time of his arrival at the office.
🔶 Tata was known for being simple, carrying his own bags at the airport, and waiting in elevator lines
🔶 He would wait in the queues at the elevator and he went to meet his friend in Pune at the age of 80.
🔶 He sent his jet to rescue the school children stuck in heavy rain and kept society first
🔶 Employees of Tatas, especially women, praise the HR policies, which perhaps which perhaps no other companies can match.
🔶 His love for dogs can be another story in itself.

Ratan Tata said his agenda is only to make a difference in people’s lives, helping people with power, water and education
He continued to do that till his last day.

🔶  Don’t let people pressure you into becoming someone you’re not. Society will always pressure you into being this or that.

🔶  We are brainwashed daily into believing it. Each one has his or her opinion. That’s okay. Deep down in your heart, you know who you are.

🔶  Learning to navigate situations where others try to influence your decisions can be challenging. To resist pressure from others, it's essential to develop a strong sense of self and clear boundaries.

🔶 Here are some ways to deal with pressure and not let people pressure you:

🔷 Say no: Learn to say “no“ without feeling guilty or apologetic.

🔷 Set realistic expectations and prioritize your own needs.

🔷 Move away: Get away from the situation or pressure zone.

🔷 Be direct: Tell the person you don't appreciate feeling pressured.

🔷 Use humor: Use humor to deflect pressure or attention.

🔷 Get support: Seek support from trusted friends, family, or a therapist.

🔷 Plan ahead: Plan ahead and organize your time.

🔷 Accept things you can't change: Accept things you can't change.

🔷 Practice self-awareness and recognize your values and goals.

🔷 Take a deep breath: Deep breathing can help you relax and stop releasing stress hormones.

🔷 Focus on the positives: Focus on the positives and surround yourself with positive people.

🔷 Develop a growth mindset: Be open to constructive feedback.

🔷 Practice gratitude: Practice gratitude and get plenty of sleep.

🔶 By cultivating these skills, you can build confidence and assertiveness, allowing you to make decisions that align with your values and goals, even when faced with pressure from others.

Did this resonate with you? How do you deal with pressure from family, friends or society? Would love to hear your thoughts please 👇

𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐥𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐲 — 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞.

Sneha Sharma, a newly appointed school teacher from Begusarai, Bihar, could have spent her first paycheck on herself.
Instead, she chose to invest in 120 underprivileged children from the slum area of Lohiya Nagar.

She bought them school bags, water bottles, and essential stationery — not as charity, but as a step toward dignity in learning.

These children often lacked even the most basic supplies to attend school. Sneha didn’t just notice — she acted.

In a world that often celebrates personal milestones, she turned hers into a collective victory.

Because true educators don’t just teach lessons — they live them.

🔶 Lessons from Sneha Sharma’s Selfless Gesture

🔹 𝐂𝐚𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐧𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞
Despite limited resources, Sneha chose to give — showing that true generosity comes from the heart, not the wallet.

🔹 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲
Understanding the struggles of the children around her, she stepped up not just as a teacher, but as a mentor and changemaker.

🔹 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭
While many dream of spending their first salary on themselves, Sneha’s decision created a ripple effect of kindness and hope.

🔹 𝐒𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬. 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
A few school supplies may seem minor — but for those children, they meant dignity, motivation, and the tools to dream bigger.

🔹 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐚𝐀𝐬
By supporting children’s access to learning, Sneha exemplified what it means to educate — not just teach.

🔹 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬
Her act has already touched hearts across the country — reminding us that compassion is contagious.

𝐀 𝐬𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭. 𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐢𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭.
𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫. 𝟏𝟐𝟎 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐊𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝. 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝.

Loyalty is an expensive gift,
Don’t expect it from cheap people.

🔶 It means it's important to cherish and appreciate loyal people in your life. Loyalty is a valuable trait in any relationship, and it can take time and effort to build.

Here are some reasons why loyalty is rare in today's world:

🔷 People are becoming disloyal to their commitments

🔷 People are making fake promises

🔷 People are backstabbing their friends

🔷 People are only thinking about what's best for themselves

🔶 If you're fortunate enough to have loyal people in your life, you should show them your appreciation and reciprocate their loyalty.

🔶 True loyalty comes from integrity and respect, not convenience or self-interest. It’s a rare quality that should be valued and never taken for granted.

🔶 Surround yourself with people who genuinely care for you, not those who are only around when it benefits them.

🔶 Choose your circle wisely—loyalty deserves loyalty in return.

🎯 “𝐂𝐚𝐊𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐀𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬.”

This bold statement by Bisma Farid, a first-year English Honours student at Hansraj College, shook many—and for good reason.

Despite being a topper with 50+ certificates, 10 medals, and countless awards, Bisma faced rejection after rejection in internship applications. The reason? A lack of practical, real-world skills.

Her experience is not unique—it’s a systemic gap in our education model that values marks over market-ready abilities like communication, collaboration, creativity, and adaptability.

That’s why topmate.io launched the #TopmateMyStory campaign—where real stories fuel real solutions. Through career guidance and mentorship, we connect students with professionals who help them:
✅ Identify their strengths
✅ Build job-relevant skills
✅ Understand what companies actually look for
✅ Gain exposure through live projects and freelance opportunities

Bisma’s story is a wake-up call to students and institutions alike. It’s time we stop glorifying marksheets and start prioritizing mentorship.

Your degree gets you in the door.

Congrats to everyone who has secured a job this year! 🎉

Starting your career is exciting, but it also comes with a new set of responsibilities, especially financial ones.

As an HR, I’ve seen many employees struggle with money management in their early years, only to regret it later.

Here are a few things I wish more professionals knew when they received their first paycheck:

1/ Build an Emergency Fund – Life is unpredictable. Aim to set aside 3-6 months' worth of expenses in a liquid, safe place.

2/ Start Investing Early – You don’t need a huge sum to begin. Even small, consistent investments can help you grow wealth over time. Recurring Deposits (RDs) are a great starting point, they allow you to invest a fixed amount monthly while earning guaranteed returns. Unlike market-linked investments, RDs are secure and help you save systematically.

3/ Set Financial Goals – Whether it’s a vacation, a new laptop, or further studies, having a clear goal makes it easier to plan your savings and investments.

Trust me, I have seen people get into the euphoria of spending and not saving money early or mid-way into their career and regretting it later.

And if you don’t know how and where to start, there are platforms like Stable Money that educate you and let you start investing in RDs with as low as ₹1000.

What other platforms are you aware of? 👇

🔶 Being by yourself protects you from a toxic and harmful environment. Spending time alone will contribute to your growth and you can prioritize your own needs. Also, your self-confidence will be at its peak when you truly enjoy your solitude.

🔶 Here's why learning to spend time alone will be far more rewarding than hanging out with the wrong company:
🔹 You don’t wallow in regrets
🔹 You deserve to be happy
🔹 Your life is too short
🔹 You are not awkward at showing your love
🔹 You don’t deserve to be broken
🔹 You have your self-esteem
🔹 You experience freedom
🔹 You become an average person in bad company
🔹 You need time to catch up with yourself
🔹 You can develop skills and give time to hobbies
🔹 You need time to evolve
🔹 You are mentally and physically fit

🔶 Being alone and loving yourself is one of the most remarkable relationships there can be. You value, discover and learn to adore yourself. These elements are significant to your growth as an individual.

🔶 Maybe you have to be selfish to attain this growth, but along the way you will find out that it is necessary to validate your relationship status
And that should ONLY be with the right person

Did this resonate with you? How do you spend time alone? Would love to hear your thoughts please 👇

✅ We all know that excessive stress is a health hazard. What is less talked about are the effects of burnout on business performance. Stress makes people nearly three times as likely to leave their jobs, temporarily impairs strategic thinking, and dulls creative abilities.

✅ Study after study—and survey after survey—tell the same story: Modern workers feel stressed out on the job, and the stress is taking a toll on their sleep, health, relationships, productivity and sense of well-being.

✅ “Workaholism” is spreading in the workplace. A growing percentage of employees consider themselves workaholics and put in more than the expected 40 hours.

✅ In the past, workaholism hasn’t received much attention because it's often accepted — and even expected — by most workplace cultures. But it can have damaging effects on employee health and well-being, particularly when you're trying to reduce employee stress at work.

✅  “We know what stress does to workers. We need to learn the soft skills, good old-fashioned management practices, so people have their well-being taken care of. I can set that expectation, that our people can get an email from the CEO on the weekend and not feel that they have to respond,” Nadella said.

Read:https://lnkd.in/dkk3caDY

✅  Here are some areas managers can focus on to help reduce or ease the stress levels of their employees.
🔺 Create a Work Environment That Decreases Stress
🔺 Increase psychological safety
🔺 Build regular break times into the workday
🔺 Encourage the use of private workspaces when team members need to focus
🔺 Set boundaries around time outside of work
🔺 Look into flexible work policies
🔺 Build Employee Engagement
🔺 Be transparent
🔺 Make sure people are in the right roles
🔺 Give as much autonomy as you can
🔺 Demonstrate a commitment to your employee’s growth and progression
🔺 Create a culture of recognition

What is your way of reducing employee stress? Would love to hear your thoughts please 👇
