So, I am celebrating this occasion by sharing my interview experience with you!

📍Round 1 (Coding test)

I solved 2 medium-hard level DSA questions in C++ language.

📍Round 2 (DSA)

The interviewer gave 1 DSA problem and asked me questions based on its time and space complexity.

📍Round 3 (System Design)

In this round, I wrote an LLD application and explained my trade-offs.

📍Round 4 (Tech + Managerial)

There were 3 rounds in which they asked me about my previous experience and some behavioral questions.

Learn shortest path algorithms (Dijkstra, Bellman-Ford) and solve advanced DP problems.

🎯Week 8: System Design Basics
Study system design fundamentals like scalability and load balancing. Research and break down simple system designs.

✅Month 3: Mock Interviews & Resume Preparation

🎯Week 9: Mock Interviews (Data Structures Focus)
Begin mock interviews focusing on DSA topics. Use platforms like LeetCode and Pramp to improve your problem-solving under pressure.

🎯Week 10: Resume Building & Behavioral Prep
Polish your resume, highlight key projects, and prepare for HR interviews using the STAR method for behavioral questions.

🎯Week 11: Advanced Mock Interviews (System Design)
Practice system design interviews, working on designing simple systems like URL shorteners.

🎯Week 12: Final Revision & Mock Interviews
Review all core concepts and take final mock interviews to ensure you're fully prepared for the real placement interviews.

By following this roadmap, you’ll be placement-ready by the end of 3 months, mastering essential technical skills, interview techniques, and resume prep!

A few years ago, I was working at a service-based company, and feeling stuck at the job 😓 I wanted to transition into a product-based role at a company like Microsoft, Amazon etc

But with a full time job I struggled to manage both and started to burn out.

My first interview didn’t go well, and it shattered my confidence. I realized I had neglected the basics, so I revisited fundamental data structures and system design, using platforms like Leetcode


A mentor’s advice changed my approach → “Don’t just practice—understand why.”

This mindset helped me break down problems and focus on improving my weaknesses. I also began doing mock interviews, which helped me refine my problem-solving and communication skills.

❌ 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝:
– Skipping core concepts like OS, DBMS, and networking.
– Ignoring mock interviews and going in unprepared.
– Overloading yourself with too many resources.

✅ 𝐃𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝:
– ⁠Start with a structured roadmap: clear the basics, then move to advanced topics.
– Focus on problem-solving skills with DSA practice (easy to medium first, then hard).
– Learn System Design, even if they’re not part of your current role.
– Build 1-2 standout projects to show your ability to scale solutions.
– Highlight transferable skills (e.g., debugging, teamwork) for the role.
– Take mock interviews with experienced SDEs who’ve made this transition.
