I can’t stop thinking about Luis Enrique.

Recently, there was an interview with Enrique speaking about his 9 year old Xana.

After a 5 month battle with bone cancer she passed away in 2019.

But it was one thing he said that cuts deep:

“My daughter came to live with us for 9 wonderful years!”

See the reason I fell in love with Barcelona was because of Luis Enrique and his elegance in centre midfield.

So now, as a father myself, I see him in a different light and just ask “How?!”

“How do you continue to do what you are doing at the highest level?”

I wonder how he now looks at the game, especially how managers can be treated.

No one can prepare you for something like this.

Truly we don’t get to control what happens - only how we respond.

And in moments like this, all that really matters is the people we love.

Hold them closely.
Don’t take them for granted.
Tell them what they mean to you.

Last week Enrique’s PSG side beat one of the favourites - Liverpool.

I personally for one would love for him to win the Champions League in memory of Xana ❤️🙏🏾
