Exciting news from LEGO House!

There was a surprise in store for LEGOÂź House guests last weekend as the 'Home of the Brick' opened the 2024 season by unveiling a brand-new Build the Change experience in the Blue Zone đŸ’™đŸŽ‰đŸ‘đŸ»

Rooted in our Build the Change program, the engaging new experience encourages guests to build solutions for real-world sustainability challenges using LEGO bricks and their own creativity 💭

Whether it’s an eco-friendly garbage-collecting vehicle fuelled by banana peels, or a “reversed” lawnmower that plants flower seeds to help biodiversity, these designs can help build a better future by unleashing creativity and sparking new and deeper conversations among children, families, and guests of all ages.

The experience is also designed to evolve based on guest feedback, with new challenges added to shape and reshape the experience thanks to the community-driven input.

We're proud to be working alongside our peers in the Danish business sector, in a united front for global sustainability.

Today, we are sharing a joint CEO statement together with 26 Danish businesses, as leaders of the World convene at the UN General Assembly in New York to discuss the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We stand together in our support for the SDGs and a just transition to reach net-zero global emissions before 2050. We echo the call from UN Secretary-General António Guterres for credible commitments and transparent plans to “rescue the SDGs.”

We've recently announced that we are working with the Science Based Target initiative to set a net-zero target for 2050, an extension of our existing target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 37% by 2032. To achieve this, we take CO2 emissions into account across all business decisions, including implementing a Carbon KPI which will be tied to our executive remuneration from 2024.

We continued to grow our top line, despite a very challenging year for the toy industry and on top of three years of extraordinary growth. We significantly outpaced the market and gained market share due to strong demand for our diverse product portfolio, and we continued to invest for the future.

“I am grateful to all our fantastic colleagues for their contribution to bringing LEGO¼ play to more children around the world.“
