Meta layoff news started earlier this week. Today meta fired 13% of their workforce (~11k), and stock is up nearly 16% in the last five days (~ 7% today).
Reminds me of the balance of the money. Someone losses, and someone gains. Unfortunately, many people relocated to Meta last year, and they are yet to be settled perfectly; this time will be a lot more challenging for them.
I have seen some posts on LinkedIn where people left the job, completed their visa formalities to join the meta London office, and meta took the offer back. It's much mental stress.
This time anything can happen. Please be true to your values, help others if you can, care for your physical and mental health, and spend a good time with your family. This will gonna stick with you forever.
