If you're applying to jobs on LinkedIn do this:
See who the job poster is (usually HR/Recruiting or the hiring manager). Send them a connection request:
“Hi Jane - I just applied to your eCommerce Manager posting and look forward to hearing back! Either way, it would be great to connect on here.
