While preparing for CA-Inter, my friends & I used to even sit on Delhi metro's floor to revise what was taught in classes.
We knew that cracking 7 exams in 9 months is no joke. We couldn't afford to waste even a single minute as results ranged between 4-6%.
With my class XIIth marks, I couldn't get a seat even in the evening shift of any DU College. And I was competing against students from colleges like SRCC, Hindu, Hansraj, etc. Had to give my best shot.
Students who've cleared CA Foundation are asking me how to prepare for CA-Inter exams. Here's how I did itπ
[1] Taking classes on time
I cleared CA-Inter around 8 years back. These were the best teachers of my time:
πΈ Accounts & Advance Accounts: Parveen Sharma sir
πΈ Auditing: Pankaj Garg sir
πΈ Costing & FM: RK Mehta sir
πΈ Taxation: MK Gupta sir
πΈ Law: Munish Bhandari sir
πΈ EIS/SM: Swapnil Patni sir
Parveen Sharma sir and RK Mehta sir are hands down the best teachers I've ever learnt from in my life.
Complete all your classes before 3 months of your target attempt.
[2] Target at least 3 rounds of revision and 2-3 mock test series
While I cleared all levels of CA in one-go, I had failed 2 times before each attempt in mock test series.
So it is always advisable that you fail 2 times in mocks so that you can know where you are lagging. ICAI's own mock test series is the best.
Don't rely on paid reviews given on Quora. I have myself been asked to write in exchange of a bribe to promote multiple test series. Of course, I declined that.
[3] Both groups? Don't think its impossible
I scored just 38.4% marks in class XIth. My concepts were flawed. Still I could clear both groups of CA-Inter in one attempt as I studied for even up to 18-19 hours a day for months.
On an average, effective hours were around 12 hours.
Trust me, all the hard work is worth it! If I could do it, you can do it too :)
