Vaccine mandate for air travellers and employees needs to be dropped. We supported it in the past, but since #omicron the vaccines are not preventing the spreading of the virus anymore, so there is no more logic to maintain it.

This will also relax some of the operational challenges at the airports as hundreds of well educated employees and officers can’t return to work.

Same is true for some of the other covid related measures like the mask mandate and random testing in airports.

Winter trouble ❄️. Spent several hours at Calgary airport tonight supporting and talking to guests that were stranded due to the severe winter weather in western Canada.
Thanks to all WestJetters that do their best to help our guests to make it to their final destination - and thanks to all guests for your understanding and patience. There couldn’t be a worse timing for such weather disruptions than this week before Christmas which is the busiest in the year…
