As a life long women's sports fan and supporter- I am thrilled to share that PlayStation has joined forces with the WNBA to empower and elevate women's basketball to new heights.

As advocates for gender equality and passionate supporters of women's sports, this partnership holds great significance for us. While the first women’s basketball game took place in 1892, just one year after its invention - there’s a long way to go to get it to the place it deserves professionally. With our partnership , we aim to foster growth and opportunities - and celebrate those who play.

In addition, we signed some amazing WNBA athletes that are as passionate about playing in our console as they are about playing on court, to our Playmakers program - further supporting their ambitions on and off the court.

Let's celebrate the phenomenal achievements of women athletes and champion a future where gender equality shines both on and off the court.

And thanks to the folks that truly make this possible, especially Jill Erb and her team who are unwavering in their support of women's players.
