Want your siblings to be your business partner? Here is a mini-guide of what to avoid.
1️⃣ Forcing them to choose a career they aren't interested in.
I've met with a creator who built the personal brand of his 16 yo sister as an SMM to get her into business instead of going to college. He was sad that his sister isn't interested in it.
❌Forcing your siblings to be financially independent by doing what you love is toxic.
2️⃣ Micro-managing each & every task they do with dominance.
As an elder sister, I have the natural instinct to be dominant to Riya. But she leads a team on her own & I respect her decisions.
❌One thing that many younger siblings hate is being dominated by elder siblings at work.
3️⃣ Not separating work and personal life while expressing differences in opinions.
I was my sister’s Boss (as she says) & now a partner. We argue rarely but don't mix work & personal life in such situations.
❌When you don't draw a boundary between personal & professional life in discussions, it will negatively affect the personal bond.
If you have the goal to make your siblings your partners, hope this helps.
PS. That's the nervous Riya before her first solo coaching session.
