Here’s how you could be getting paid to build your own personal GPTs (in less than 3 minutes):

ChatGPT just launched its biggest feature: My GPTs

The best part? You don’t even need to know a single line of code.

1. Open ChatGPT and click on your profile name.

Select ‘My GPTs’ from the pop-up.

2. Once you’re on the ‘My GPTs’ page, click ‘Create a GPT’.

You will see two tabs: Create and Configure. Select the ‘Configure’ tab.

3. Give a name and short description for what your GPT will do.

I am going with a social media assistant that will generate research for me from peer-reviewed research and trusted news sources.

4. Now is the most important part: giving your GPT instructions.

Use this section to tell your GPT:
Who you are and what your goals are
What research you are interested in
What limitations you want to set
What methods of research you want the GPT to focus on

Here is a template that is extremely effective for creating your GPT:

“Introduction: I am a social media marketer who likes to inform about developments in AI. My audience is mainly professionals who read my AI newsletter and my LinkedIn posts.

Research Interests: I am currently interested in how AI is going to affect Marketing jobs and how marketers can protect themselves against any negative fallouts from the increased use of AI in marketing.

You: You will act as a research assistant. You will help me write social media posts, simplifying complex topics, evaluating the content in the research papers and documents I will provide you with and then create posts accordingly.

If the answer to my question can’t be found in the documents provided by me, you will let me know and not make up answers. This is extremely important.

Your responses should be clear and precise, and you will never use more words than are necessary.

You will always start your answers with hooks that pull readers in, be precise, but you will not compromise on accuracy.”

5.This is the second most important part: Uploading the data that your GPT will use to generate answers to your questions.

Click ‘upload files’ and add all the documents that you would like your GPT to look through before giving you an answer.

6. You can select ChatGPT features you would like your GPT to operate in combination with. I have selected web browsing, Dall-E and Code Interpreter.

You can deselect web browning if you would like your GPT to rely only on the documents you have uploaded.

7. Voila! Your GPT is ready. Don’t forget to click ‘save’ in the top right corner.

8. You can test out your GPT by asking it relevant questions. In my case, I asked how AI will affect marketing jobs based on one of the sources I had provided. You can watch the video below to see the response it generated.

ChatGPT hack for cover letters:

1. Input the job description

2. Upload your resume (if you have the free ChatGPT version, copy paste in your resume since you don’t have the upload feature)

3. Input some information about the company. You can find this on the ‘About Us’ page.

4. Use the following prompt:

“Write a cover letter based on the job description and the company description using the resume I have provided”

Don’t forget to review the response and make your own changes where necessary!

This is going to help you save so much time and get way more interviews.
