I’m not from IIT, but I cracked every SDE’s dream PBC! ❤️

Before I this, I was rejected by Amazon, Google, Adobe…

Then how did I succeed this time? I changed my PLAN ⬇️

📌 Phase 1
→ Revisited the basics: sorting, searching, heaps, DFS, BFS
→ Watched one system design video every single day
→ Practiced company-specific questions on LeetCode

📌 Phase 2
→ Got the interview call from Microsoft
→ Doubled down on system design—watched every video I could find
→ Connected with SDEs working at Microsoft to understand the interview expectations

Those calls changed the game for me. They helped me identify blind spots, boost confidence, and walk into the real interview with clarity💪🏻

If you’re prepping too, don’t skip mocks. Connect with top SDEs who have already cracked PBCs.
You can easily find them here & book a FREE call → https://lnkd.in/gAgvn5Gc

They will create real MNC-level coding interview situations, evaluate your answers, help you improve through follow-up training and ensure you are 100% ready!🚀

My career journey from intern to SDE-1,

then SDE-2, and now a surprise transition has been full of ups and downs 🚀

To be honest, there was a time when I faced back-to-back rejections 😓

I was disheartened, but I focused on identifying and bridging the gaps in my skills.

That's when I realized I needed to level up my design skills. So, I practiced multiple HLD and LLD problems, learned about scalability, and studied various design patterns.

I also researched companies, prepared for their interview questions, and stayed attuned to their processes.

The result? I secured a position at an MNC and even got promoted!

If you want to achieve similar success and crack a top MNC, you can get 1:1 guidance from experts. They'll provide personalized training and full support to help you reach your goals 💪🏻

I made my first transition and cracked Microsoft - my dream company! 🙌🏻

So here is how my journey went👇🏼

For the Microsoft interview, I was confident in DSA, but System Design was my main challenge. I didn't know where to start or what was important.

So, I asked help from people who had recently switched companies. They shared how they prepared for SD and the resources they used.

Additionally, I learned the concepts, practiced a lot, and reviewed past interview experiences for my target companies. Eventually, I successfully cracked the companies I was aiming for.🎊

But this whole transition preparation made me realize that there is no proper guidance for senior level roles. I was lucky to have friends who helped me.

To everyone who is feeling stuck during your prep, consider reaching out to mentors through Preplaced. They have highly experienced SDEs who can guide you through your transition and provide support until you land your new role. 🚀

How cracked Microsoft while working full-time🤔

Hard way to prepare for a tech interview
-Follow a standard roadmap
-Solve 500 LeetCode problems
-Spend months learning every system design concept

Smart approach to prepare for tech interview-
-Master patterns that help you crack any problem
-Focus on what hiring managers actually test for
-Understand trade-offs and apply them in real-world scenarios

Tech interview prep isn't about doing what everyone else does.
When I prepared for my Microsoft interview while working full-time, I didn’t have 6-8 hours daily.

I made the most of focused 2-3 hour sessions, prioritized mock interviews, and worked on projects (during weekends) that showcased my skills.

And that’s what made the difference.

If you’re preparing with a full-time job or other commitments, optimize for impact, not effort.

Apart from this if you're looking for structured interview preparation, Tutort Academy is a great platform to check out. They can help you gain the experience you need!
