A few days ago, I visited Delhi and met Aman Gupta. We both come from a CA background, but interestingly, we have charted different paths for ourselves. Nevertheless, we both recognize the profound impact our CA journey has had on us. We had a wonderful discussion about how our CA background taught us essential skills like problem-solving, task prioritization and working under pressure situations. These lessons continue to influence our professional lives, even as our roles are so different now!

After a great chat, when it was time to head out, Aman was kind enough to drop me off right to where my car was – a simple gesture that spoke volumes about his humility and character.

From posing with his wax statue to meeting him in real life!

As I've often said, you all are like my extended family, and today, I’m excited to share one of the most memorable moments of my journey with you.

In 2016, during a visit to Madame Tussauds Wax museum in London, I took a picture with the statue of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Back then I was a teacher teaching CA and MBA Finance students and imagining that I would be able to experience the same moment in real life with him was a dream too good to be true! But it’s said that dreams do come true!! So, Fast forward to yesterday, I had the honour of meeting our Prime Minister at the Pune Airport during his visit for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra. Not only did I get a chance to see him off, but I also got an opportunity to tell him about my initiative, Har Ghar Investor — inspired by Har Ghar Tiranga.

It’s all because of your continuous support and encouragement that I was able to experience this moment. So, let me take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of my journey. Let’s work together to turn “Har Ghar Investor” from a dream to reality 😇

A few days ago, the Tata group-owned Air India placed the largest-ever aircraft order in global aviation history!

It placed a purchase order for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing.

Through this deal, now an Indian company will support over one million American jobs across 44 states!

This is a great landmark, and indeed a bright moment for India. 🙌

Did you know that Antfin Singapore Holding, an arm of Alibaba Group, had planned to offload 2 percent stake or 18.5 crore shares in the online food delivery platform Zomato, worth $556 million (Rs 4,650 crore), through block deals.

So if 18.5CR (185 mn.) shares changed hands, why isn’t this volume showing up on trading platforms (Refer screenshot where volume appears on the top left).

It is because larger transactions on exchanges happen through bulk or block deals.

Bulk deals refer to large-volume stock transactions involving at least 0.5% of total listed shares of a company which are carried out in a regular trading window of a stock exchange.

But Block deals are transactions involving more than or equal to 500k shares or at least 10 cr rupees and unlike bulk deals block deals have special trading windows in the morning and in the afternoon, since these shares do not trade in the regular trading session the volumes do not show up on the price chart. Which is why these are not visible to retail investors.
