My current morning routine with a 6 month old..
/ 5:30am- wake up with a baby on my face. Wife laughing saying ‘tag you’re in’.
/ 5:45am - entertain baby. Stick the kettle on.
/ 6am - entertain baby, inhale my breakfast.
/ 6:30am - take baby and dog for a walk (this is much more pleasant now it’s light and not pissing it down).
/ 7:30am- feed baby. Strawberries and scrambled egg are a favourite.
/ 8am - wipe down the ceiling after baby’s breakfast.
/ 8:27am - change out of vomit covered clothes.
/ 8:28am- brush teeth.
/ 8:30am - head to work for a break and my 3rd coffee of the day.
No journaling, namastes or cold plunges for me.
Just straight up survival. How parents do it with multiple kids, I’ve got no idea. You’re all hero’s in my eyes.
P.s. this isn’t a whinge. It’s chaos and knackering but I’m a morning person and love these special few hours just the 2 of us.
