I keep thinking back to my first OPTECH in 2013. I showed up as a supplier, trying to earn credibility in rooms I had no business being in yet. I was listening more than talking, taking it all in, and trying to understand how this industry actually worked.
I remember thinking… this is where it happens. This is where the future of multifamily gets decided.
Fast forward to now, and being asked to help lead that same stage is not lost on me. This means the world.
What’s different now is the pace. We are not talking about innovation anymore. We are building it in real time. The gap between idea and execution has collapsed.
So the bar for this year is higher.
Less theory. More real conversations. What is actually working, what is not, and what we are going to do about it.
