Should we open our #sheleadsforum2025 for all? What would change if we no longer had only women in the room, ?
This two-day event had always been an exclusive invite for women at Allianz, characterized by a high level of energy and a psychologically safe space to experiment and grow. A place where meaningful connection happened, where leaders from all around the globe had space and time to reflect on their own journey; to get inspired by internal and external speakers.
None of it was "women specific" ... however, many of the conversations shared the challenges of leading and progressing our career in a male dominated environment. The characteristics of the systems in which we move and the biases in decision making; the wish to have a more gender equal world. To me, it is time to engage men in these conversations. Because only together we can change the world: in every little interaction; learning with and from each other. Meeting each other with curiosity, rather than judgment.
Only 4 men took our invite. Surrounded by 140 women, they experienced what many of the women have experienced for years: the world from the other gender´s perspective. My purpose is to continue to create the same psychologically safe space for the audience, regardless of their gender. We had a blast!
I especially enjoyed our very personal fireside chat with Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre, alumni of #sheleads herself and a long-time sponsor of the program. Thank you for your openness and for sharing the challenges and successes to get where you are. #Representation matters and seeing where you are now is an inspiration for us all.
