A logotype can be so much more that just a name for a product or brand. If it has the potential to be a loud and “ Bark “ size visual expression then why not take it to the full level of the business or the customers it represents? Bark’s new visual and type branding take the original core identity and amplified it beyond just a simple name. It maybe only a concept packaging design, yet the use of expressive type to describe the shapes of each pasta is as tasty as it can get. Longi Pasta packaging by Shyika&Shyika is not only a well designed and executed concept, but it’s one that should be produced and sitting on shelves in all supermarkets. Go big or go home ! After 15 years Pepsi rebrands with a big, bouncing and electric new logo mark and rebrand. With a great throw back to it’s more 90’s look, but with a new typeface, Pepsi decides to bring it in for a win.

This is the kind of innovation needed more in our packaging designs as well as sustainability initiatives across the board, in every packaging thinking. Berlin-based designer Jonna Breitenhuber has a solution. For her master’s thesis at the University of Arts, Berlin, she developed a bottle made from soap that can effectively serve as packaging for any liquid hygiene product on the market.
“These bottles, which she calls SOAPBOTTLE, are made from a traditional piece of soap that’s been hollowed out. The interior is lined with a water-insoluble layer, which prevents any liquids contained within it from dissolving the soap. On the top, there is a reusable metal closure to allow you to open the top and pour out your shampoo or shower gel.”

I remember in 2017, the incredible criticism I received as well as the agency Weiden + Kennedy received from the rebrand of the Formula One identity and logo. The reviews were brutal from both fans and the design community.
But since then, it has become a classic, a well marketed and typography standard “Formula“ in brand design. So much that the new movie “F1“ with Brad Pitt is using it in their title design. A custom typeface designed by The Hague, Netherlands-based Marc Rouault, embraces speed with a retro vibe but blends in with the sports circuit through it use of negative space. Fans not only have accepted it, but now are embracing it and directly connected it with sport.

Switzerland 🇨🇭 rebrands in a very positive direction.
Made agency launched new tourism campaign for Switzerland using it's iconic emblem with a subtle but very Swiss design by using part of the letter “t“ as a new mark. A great way to amplify and grow all the positive and fun experiences you can have in Switzerland, but a great campaign that easily translates to digital and print communication platform.
The solid Red has also been extended into more dynamic and modern gradients, symbolizing the sunrise & sunsets over the beautiful Swiss Alps.

With the same energy and passion for music and typography as legends like Wes Wilson, Victor Moscoso and Bonnie Maclean during the 60’s music era, Glasgow artist and designer Raissa Pardini’s work is as eclectic and electric in typography and style as the musical talent her posters represent. Studying the classics and fundamentals of typography design and with a masters in Arabian calligraphy, Pardini thrives in breaking and deconstructing the rules to create her own style by pushing the boundaries as far as she can. His little walks through Cairo’s market have uncovered treasures of Arabic style designs that he’s turned into digital archives project called Arabic book cover archive.
