The best leaders and entrepreneurs have this one ability.

(I wish I got this decades ago)

HUMILITY❗

One of my favorite quotes and words of wisdom...

“Don't ever lose your sense of wonder.“💫

When we think we know the rules, the rules change.

And the moment we think we’ve got it all figured out...

you’re in trouble.☹️

The best leaders? The most successful entrepreneurs?

They know something most people ignore: 👇
↳ Staying teachable is the ultimate advantage.

- Because ego kills growth.
- Arrogance blinds you.
- And thinking you’re always right is the fastest way to fall behind.🙃

Here are 5 Ways to Stay Teachable and Humble:👇
(From Forbes Magazine)

✅ Ask more questions than you answer
↳ The smartest people aren’t the ones talking the most.
↳ They’re the ones listening, learning, and absorbing.

✅ Surround yourself with people smarter than you
↳ If you’re the smartest person in the room, change rooms.
↳ Find those who challenge you, not just agree with you.

✅ Admit when you’re wrong (quickly)
↳ Holding onto pride only holds you back.
↳ The faster you own your mistakes, the faster you grow.

✅ Stay curious like a beginner
↳ The greatest minds never stop learning.
↳ Stay curious. Keep reading. Keep exploring.

✅ Detach your identity from your ideas
↳ Your ideas will be wrong sometimes. That’s okay.
↳ Learn, adapt, and move forward without making it personal.

The moment you think you “know it all” is the moment you stop winning.

Are you staying teachable❓

Our kiddos are losing their ability to be creative.

(I hope we catch it before it's too late)

99% of what makes us human can’t be automated.

And in today’s AI-driven world, that matters more than ever.

We’re raising kids who can swipe before they can speak…
- But can they connect?
- Can they think creatively?
- Can they build relationships that last?

We can’t let screens replace the skills that build real lives.

When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, we made forts and out of picnic tables in the dirt.

We had to use our imagination with rocks and sticks and some plastic toys.

I'm not saying it was perfect and it would have been cool to have some of the technologies today, but we learned to be creative.

Then Atari came out, and then Nintendo, and then Apple, and the Commodore 64...

Anyway... here we are in a new age.

And, it's amazing!

But have our kiddos lost their ability to be human?
To create something out of nothing?
To use their imagination?

Here’s what matters (to me) more than any device: 👇

1/ Curiosity
↳ Ask questions
↳ Explore the world with them
↳ Let their imagination take the lead

2/ Creativity
↳ Give them space to build, draw, dream, make a mess
↳ Limitless ideas come from unstructured time, not algorithmic suggestions

3/ Connection
↳ Teach them to look people in the eye
↳ Show them how to listen, empathize, and be present

4/ Real-World Problem Solving
↳ Life happens off the screen
↳ Let them struggle, try, fail, retry, that’s how confidence is built

5/ Human Values
↳ Kindness
↳ Integrity
↳ Love

These never go out of style, no matter how advanced the tech gets

AI is powerful.
But humanness is irreplaceable.

If we want our kiddos to thrive…
We need to teach them what machines can’t do.

Love. Create. Explore.

What do you think?
Have our kiddos lost their ability to create?

“To be successful you must be unique, you must be so different that if people want what you have, they must come to you to get it.”
- Walt Disney💫

In today's competitive business landscape...

we need to set ourselves apart in a world where everybody is trying so hard to “fit in.“

Our success heroes were all trailblazers:👇

▪️ Mark Zuckerberg
▪️ Richard Branson
▪️ Daymond John
▪️ Oprah Winfrey
▪️ Steve Jobs
▪️ Elon Musk
▪️ Bill Gates

Love em or hate em, the reason they became so successful is because they went after what they believed in.

They set themselves apart.

Everybody thought they were crazy

Now they are admired for their success.🔥

If we want to achieve greatness, we need to set ourselves apart from the pack.💪

When we do, not everybody will like us...

But, the RIGHT people will LOVE us!

A few strategies to set yourself apart:👇
(According to Forbes Magazine)

▪️ Define your Unique Value Proposition (UVP)
▪️ Cultivate emotional intelligence
▪️ Prioritize customer experience
▪️ Optimize & monetize Linkedin
▪️ Invest in personal branding
▪️ Stay adaptable

Standing out is not always easy...

But, it's worth the effort!

Our greatest growth isn’t in what we know.

It’s in what we have yet to explore.

There are so many “experts“ on the internet now.

And, while some are certainly more informed than others...

The “smartest“ people are the ones who know that they have much more to learn.

The best leaders and visionaries are CONSTANTLY learning new things...

And their minds are open to new ideas.

The world is bigger than our routines, comfort zones, or assumptions.

To truly grow, we need to actively seek new experiences, perspectives, and knowledge.

Here are 5 ways to expand your horizons:👇

It’s an investment in the person you’re becoming.

Culture isn’t the beach pictures you have on the wall.

(All leaders and entrepreneurs take note!)

It’s how your employees feel on Sunday night about Monday morning.

If they feel dread? That’s culture.☹️
If they feel excitement? That’s culture too.😎

The best leaders know this.

And they build for it... on purpose.🔥

According to Forbes Magazine, 80% of employees feel dread on Sunday night.

Isn't that both a sad and staggering statistic!?!?!

Here are 5 underrated traits of great culture-builders:👇

✅ They keep promises (especially the small ones)
↳ Broken trust starts with missed follow-ups
↳ When you follow through, people feel valued
↳ Reliability is a culture signal

✅ They protect team energy
↳ Meetings have a purpose, or they don’t happen
↳ They fight burnout like it’s a real threat (because it is)
↳ A healthy culture has room to breathe

✅ They give credit loudly, and feedback privately
↳ Recognition in public builds pride
↳ Corrections in private build respect
↳ Nobody likes being shamed in a Slack thread

✅ They embrace conflict, with care
↳ Healthy disagreement makes teams smarter
↳ They don’t avoid tough conversations
↳ But they lead with empathy, not ego

✅ They make space for real life
↳ They don’t punish parents for school runs
↳ They understand mental health is health
↳ Flexibility is more than a policy, it’s a mindset

The truth:👇
↳ Culture isn’t what you say it is, it's how THEY feel!

“Be precise. A lack of precision is dangerous when the margin of error is so small.“
Donald Rumsfeld 🚀

Most of us are working with a limited amount of time and resources...

No job is worth your mental health.

Read that again.👆

The money, the status, the title...

NONE of it matters if you’re burnt out, miserable, or losing yourself in the process.☹️

Success means NOTHING if you’re running on empty.

Here are 7 ways to protect your mental health:👇
(According to Forbes Magazine)

✅ Set Healthy Boundaries

↳ How? Say NO to unrealistic deadlines, turn off notifications after work, and protect your personal time.
↳ The result? More energy, less resentment, and a life that isn’t just about work.

✅ Take Breaks—REAL Breaks
↳ How? Step away from your screen, go outside, or even take a power nap
↳ The result? More focus, better decisions, and fewer mistakes.

✅ Prioritize Sleep
↳ How? Cut down on late-night scrolling, stick to a routine, and make sleep a non-negotiable.
↳ The result? Better mood, sharper thinking, and actual energy to enjoy life.

✅ Move Your Body
↳ How? Walk, stretch, hit the gym—just do something daily to get out of your head and into motion.
↳ The result? Less stress, more confidence, and a stronger body to match a stronger mind.

✅ Talk About It
↳ How? Call a friend, see a therapist, or just vent to someone you trust.
↳ The result? Emotional relief, better relationships, and actual solutions to what’s bothering you.

✅ Stop Tying Your Worth to Work
↳ How? Remind yourself that you are NOT your job.
↳ The result? More confidence, less pressure, and a life that isn’t just about proving yourself.

✅ Do More of What Fills You Up
↳ How? Read, travel, paint, play—whatever lights you up
↳ The result? More joy, more fulfillment, and a reminder that life is about more than work.

Your job can replace you in a second.

Your health? That’s on you.

Is your mental health your #1 priority❓

NOTHING will destroy a team faster than this

And, MOST leaders have no idea

But, here’s the Truth...

👉 LISTENING isn’t a soft skill - it’s a power move!

When leaders fail to listen, they:

↳ Silence innovation
↳ Crush morale
↳ Halt growth

Here are 5 ways to become a better listener:👇
(According to Harvard Business Review)

✅ Ask Open-Ended Questions
↳ How to Do It: Start conversations with phrases like “What do you think about…” or “How would you approach…?”
↳ Why It Works: Encourages honest feedback and new ideas, showing your team their input matters.

✅ Practice Active Listening
↳ How to Do It: Maintain eye contact, avoid interrupting, and summarize key points to confirm understanding.
↳ Why It Works: Reflecting back what you hear builds trust and ensures clarity in conversations.

✅ Pause Before Responding
↳ How to Do It: Take a deep breath or count to three before speaking to give yourself time to think.
↳ Why It Works: Demonstrates thoughtfulness and respect, building an inclusive environment.

✅ Seek Feedback Regularly
↳ How to Do It: Use anonymous surveys, one-on-one check-ins, or team discussions to gather insights.
↳ Why It Works: Makes employees feel valued and helps uncover hidden opportunities for growth.

✅ Act on What You Hear
↳ How to Do It: Follow up on feedback with concrete steps and share updates on changes made as a result.
↳ Why It Works: Proves that voices are heard, creating a culture of accountability and engagement.

Are you tuned into what your people are saying❓

The REAL reasons people quit their jobs...

(Hint: It's NOT all about the money)

Why do employees really leave?

It's usually because they are undervalued and unappreciated.

According to Harvard Business Review...

48% of people are ready to quit their jobs this year.

That is a staggering number that costs billions.💲

Here are the key reasons people walk away:👇
(And, what you can do to fix it)

🎖️ Lack of Recognition
↳ Unrecognized work makes people feel invisible.
↳ Fix: Implement regular shout-outs and reward programs.

☠️ Toxic Work Environment
↳ Negativity, cliques, and disrespect drive people out.
↳ Fix: Create open communication and address toxic behavior directly.

🏢 Poor Leadership
↳ Bad managers create unbearable work experiences.
↳ Fix: Train leaders in coaching, feedback, and team support.

📉 Stagnant Career Growth
↳ Without development opportunities, people move on.
↳ Fix: Offer clear paths for advancement and training programs.

🧱 Unfair Workload Distribution
↳ Overburdened employees eventually burn out or leave.
↳ Fix: Regularly assess workloads and ensure balance across the team.

🌱 Misalignment with Company Values
↳ When values don’t align, employees feel disconnected.
↳ Fix: Reinforce the mission, and hire for culture fit.

⚖️ Poor Work-Life Balance
↳ Demanding hours and no flexibility exhaust employees.
↳ Fix: Encourage work-life boundaries and offer flexible options.

💸 Compensation Gaps
↳ Uncompetitive pay makes people feel undervalued.
↳ Fix: Review pay regularly to ensure fairness and market alignment.

🚀 No Autonomy
↳ Micromanagement stifles creativity and motivation.
↳ Fix: Allow employees control over their projects and decisions.

🎯 Unclear Expectations and Goals
↳ Without direction, people lose purpose and engagement.
↳ Fix: Set clear, achievable goals and regularly revisit them.

The Takeaway: 👇🏼

Show people they matter and they will stay!

Do you feel valued and appreciated ❓

We're losing the ability to do the hard things.

(Hopefully we can reverse this trend)

Motivation is just a feeling.
Discipline is the only metric that actually matters.

According to Harvard, founders and leaders with high self-control and focus, outperform their competitors by 72%.

Yet, we’re conditioned to seek the path of least resistance…
- We choose comfort over growth.
- We choose scrolling over creating.
- We choose "tomorrow" over "today."

Years ago, I thought "discipline" was a dirty word.
I thought it meant being a robot.

I fought for "freedom"... which really just meant doing whatever I felt like in the moment.

BUT... I wasn't moving forward.
I was drifting.
HUGE difference.

Then I realized: True freedom isn't doing what you want now.
It's acting in alignment with who you want to be.

Here's how you do that and design an amazing life: 👇

1/ Practice Self-Control
↳ Choose what you want most over what you want now
↳ Stop negotiating with yourself

2/ Stay Present
↳ Don't let next year’s anxiety steal today's focus
↳ Worrying is using your imagination against yourself

3/ Keep Practicing
↳ Consistency beats intensity every time
↳ A river cuts rock by flowing 24/7, not by flooding once

4/ Accept Change
↳ Rigidity breaks; flexibility endures
↳ When the plan fails, change the plan, not the goal

5/ Create Balance
↳ Burnout is not a badge of honor
↳ Rest is a requirement for performance, not a reward

Motivation is fleeting.
Discipline is a decision.

What do you think?
Is discipline the missing piece for you right now?

Hustle culture says you’re not doing enough.
But your brain was built for smarter...
NOT harder.

The "Grind" lies about your productivity. 😢

It whispers:
"Sleep is for the weak."
"Power through the fatigue."
"More hours equals more success."

But the truth is:
It's difficult because you're fighting biology,
not because you lack discipline.

When I stopped trying to brute-force my work
and started leveraging my brain's chemistry,
everything shifted.

✔️ Fatigue feels like a failure
because we ignore our rhythms.

✔️ Distraction feels like a weakness
because we waste our peak hours.

✔️ Anxiety feels like a personality trait
because we don't know how to posture.

Success isn't about working against your mind.
It's about learning the user manual.

Here are 7 neuroscience tricks to reclaim your career: 👇

1. Respect the Rhythm (Ultradian Rhythms)
Your focus isn't a marathon.
Work in 90-minute sprints, then break.
That is your biological limit for deep work.

2. Guard the Morning
The first 90 minutes are your peak cognitive window.
Don't give that gold to your email inbox.
Create, don't consume.

3. Leave it Unfinished (Zeigarnik Effect)
Stop mid-sentence.
Your brain will work on the problem in the background, making it easier to start tomorrow.

4. Hack the Trust (Mirroring)
People trust what looks familiar.
Subtly match gestures and tone to build instant psychological safety.

5. Pair the Dopamine
Boring task? Pair it with music or coffee.
Your brain needs a chemical bridge to cross the valley of boredom.

6. Pose for Power
Body leads mind.
Standing like a superhero for two minutes before a meeting physically lowers stress and boosts confidence.

7. Visualize the Win
Your brain struggles to distinguish vivid imagination from reality.
Rehearsing success creates neural pathways for the real thing.

You don't need more time.
You don't need more stress.
You need more alignment.

Are you working with your brain?
Or against it?

PS. If you're looking for high level peer support from burnout or your next big business move, I created The Elite Leaders.
