8 things you need to do on LinkedIn before 5pm today (most will only do 1):

1. Post something you wrote yourself, because nobody engages with a robot.

2. Put your face on it, beard included.

3. Fix your banner, since it's the only billboard you own here.

4. Leave 15 real comments, not 15 versions of "great insight."

5. Message 5 friends with no ask attached.

6. Message 5 prospects with exactly one ask.

7. Answer every comment on your post within the hour.

8. Send 5 connection requests that prove you read the profile.

It's 45 minutes. That's it.

This still works in 2026 because almost nobody gets past the first one, and it'll be whichever one doesn't require talking to a human.

What's the 9th?

I don’t think I’ve met a single person who hasn’t thought at some point:

ā€œMan, I should be further along by now.ā€

Further along in their career.
Further along financially.
Further along in their goals.
Further along in life.

I’ve thought it too.

But one thing that’s helped me is realizing I can’t change the past.

I can’t go back and make a different decision, recover lost time, or rewrite the moments I wish had gone differently.

But I can thank God that even those moments shaped me for today.

• The wins taught me something.
• The failures taught me something.
• Even some of the hardest seasons gave me wisdom I wouldn’t have otherwise.

So instead of getting stuck looking backward, I’m going to take one step forward.

Today, one step toward the goal.

Tomorrow, another.

Then, another.

I refuse to spend my life trapped in a ā€œwoe is meā€ mentality because I’m not where I thought I’d be.

I’m grateful for where I’ve been.

I’m grateful for where I am.

And now it’s time to keep moving forward.

2 weeks ago I spent 4 days in the hospital.

I’m alright now and feeling great.

I’d been sick for over a week and decided to get checked out as a precaution.

Those days forced me to slow down….

• to pray
• to read
• to think without noise

(Except my roommate who liked to talk. We had some good conversations lol.)

It’s rare to be still that long, and it reminded me how little we actually control.

This week I’m easing back into work.

I was able to spend some precious time with my family this weekend.

I’m not at full speed yet, but grateful to be moving again.

Thank you to everyone who texted, checked in, and prayed. Those messages mattered.

My God is the healer!

LinkedIn has been wild the last few days.

• I crossed 30,000 followers.
• A post hit 100,000+ views on Friday.
• My anniversary post blew up a few days later.
• I’m starting to think my wife is more popular on LinkedIn than I am, and she doesn’t even have an account.
• I now make $1M/day from LinkedIn.

Okay, that last one is made up lol.

But the rest is true.

It’s been a fun reminder that you can spend hours thinking about content strategy, audience building, and positioning…

…and then a post about your wife ends up being the winner.

Thanks to everyone who’s followed along. It’s been a fun week and an awesome journey on this platform.

The beard strikes again…

Enjoyed the Father’s Day Phillies game yesterday with my wife and they did not disappoint with this moment 🤣

To all the dads out there, hope you felt loved and celebrated.

When I started writing online in 2022, I met a ton of people fired up about building something new.

4 years later, I still bump into them and chat.

And they’re saying the exact same thing they said back then.

ā€œI want to start 3 businesses.ā€

ā€œI’m gonna get serious about content.ā€

ā€œI’m finally ready to scale.ā€

Nothing’s changed.

I’ve thought a lot about why we get stuck. It usually comes down to 5 things:

1. Taking advice from broke people.
2. Quitting before it compounds.
3. Chasing likes instead of buyers.
4. No plan to actually get seen.
5. Waiting to feel ready instead of moving.

None of them are dramatic. That’s the problem.

They don’t destroy a dream in one shot.

They just quietly make sure next year looks exactly like this one.

And look, life happens. Things get in the way and don’t always go the way you expected. I get it.

But a lot of the time, we just make excuses.

The ones who stay stuck never named the thing that kept beating them.

Dreams don’t fail. People do.

Which one’s quietly been running your year?

P.S. I’m unashamed of this car selfie lol.

People ask how I post 4-5 days a week without running dry.

I don't generate 100 ideas. I generate 1.

The rest is math.

1 Big Idea, split into 5 content categories: Story, Insight, Mistake, Framework, Action.

Then 3 to 5 ideas under each. Then multiplied across formats and tones.

That's 100+ posts from a single belief.

And because every one of them traces back to the same argument, people start to know what you stand for. Skip this step and you get 100 unrelated posts instead of 100 angles on 1 point. Volume without a position is just noise with a schedule.

Full breakdown in the carousel.
