I thought I was prepared.

I was looking forward to a simpler life with my young family.

Job prospects post-army were good as a doctor.

Within 6 months, cracks appeared in my armour.

- Memories of soldiers I couldn’t save
- Sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat
- Vivid dreams about family members drowning
- Crowded places made me anxious. The smell of raw pork made me gag.

As a doctor, I recognised these symptoms as Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS).

But as time progressed, I realised I was grieving the person I used to be.

“Transition Stress“ is often misdiagnosed as PTSD.

It can affect many high-level professions. Not just military and first responders.

I deep dive into this in my latest newsletter (linked👇 in the comments).

Please share it with anyone who could benefit from reading it.

P.S. I also share my experience of Transition Stress in this short video.

Would love to hear your thoughts.
