California LOVE! Last week, California Governor Gavin Newsom officially signed the CROWN ACT (Creating a Respectful and Open Workplace) into law — making California the first state to ban discrimination against natural hair, including afros, braids, twists, and locs. So proud to be a part of changing the narrative for Black women, girls and anyone with textured hair. DOVE is excited to stand with The CROWN Coalition and the REMARKABLE Senator Holly Mitchell to make this possible. The bill passed UNANIMOUSLY in California’s Senate and Assembly. It’s just a matter of time before this catches fire EVERYWHERE!

Can’t wait to make this happen #thecrownact #californialove #dove #BeautyLooksLike #crowncoalition #unstereotypealliance

Another step by DOVE to make a positive experience of beauty universally accessible to EVERY women. Yay!
The Supreme Court’s decision to overrule Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to abortion for citizens of the United States, has the potential to change our country profoundly. It is a monumental setback for women’s rights and reproductive rights of all people.

In response, Unilever United States is joining over one hundred other businesses in the Don’t Ban Equality coalition. We are adding our voice to stand for policies that promote access to quality healthcare, independence, and the ability to fully succeed in the workplace.

We are also doing what we can to protect our employees’ rights. We are committed to providing our employees with comprehensive reproductive healthcare benefits,
and we cover travel costs for employees and dependents if care is no longer available in their home states in the U.S.

I invite and encourage other businesses to join the Don't Ban Equality statement, and take action to help protect the rights of employees and the communities we serve.
