It took me a while to understand this.

It doesn’t matter how many hours your employees work.

The only thing that matters is output.

Each team member must have measurable KPIs.

They must be evaluated against them on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.

Make these KPIs numeric so you can clearly see whether they are delivering what the business needs.

Forget how many hours your employees work, especially if your team is remote.

It doesn’t matter if they work 10 hours or 100.

What matters is whether they hit their KPIs.

Everything else is micromanagement.
