Starting tomorrow, we’ll be hosting thousands of designers, developers, and product teams from all over the world at our annual conference #Config2023. It’s finally here, and we couldn’t be more excited.

This will be the first time we’ve brought our entire community together since early 2020– and it’s definitely grown since then. There’s something so magical that happens when we’re able to be together in one space at one time.

We can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on with you– from talks to feature announcements to fun moments of community connection and more. So whether you’re joining us in San Francisco, virtually on the livestream, or at one of global watch parties, we can’t wait to see you this Wednesday and Thursday for Config!

After a year in beta, putting Figma in the hands of students (ages 13+) across 50 US districts in partnership with Google #Chromebooks, we’re taking the next step by opening up free Figma and FigJam access to all K-12 districts across the US!

We’re also expanding Figma access to all ages, upgrading K12 schools to Figma Enterprise, our most secure plan, for free and going global with our partnership, starting with schools in Japan ✹ https://bit.ly/3qUhWSQ
—------------

Over the course of our beta, educators and students took our tools to incredible places — designing prototypes, apps & even new school mascots on Figma & re-imagining classes to be more interactive and engaging than ever in FigJam.

But beyond the impressive projects + prototypes, we were so excited to see the interpersonal impact.  Figma and FigJam transformed the culture of classrooms as well as students’ sense of connection and belonging:

💡Elevating student voices –– With stickies, high-fives, emotes, comments, Figma and FigJam helped even the most introverted students feel more confident contributing and expressing themselves.

⚡ Helping students find “their thing“ –– Students who were once disengaged in traditional classes rediscovered a passion for learning by connecting with design. Some students felt they “found the thing” they’re meant to do.

đŸ«¶Building community –– Figma helped classes bond, nurturing small digital connections into real, in-person friendships. And for students with different learning styles who aren't always supported by traditional tools, Figma provided space for them to contribute their ideas in an accepting space.

We’re committed to reaching more schools and bringing the power of design to every student. The innovators that will shape our future are in our classrooms today -- we’re humbled to be part of their journey and can’t wait to see what they’ll build next.
