Should luxury brands like Hermès and Louis Vuitton invest into a museum that offers a second life for all their beautiful installations?

This helps provide a sustainability angle whilst giving the fans an insight into all the wonderful creativity these brands have injected into their work over the years.

Below are a couple of examples of stunning window displays from Hermes.

Build worlds not spaces!

“The product represents so much more than the product”.

When brands get their heads around that we’ll see more retailscapes and worlds being built. Brands need to deliver experiences that contextualise the products being sold.

JACQUEMUS gets it!

Below was designed by the awesome: Random Studio

Build worlds not spaces.

The Silent Icebergs is a conceptual immersive art installation of mine that spotlights the fragility of our planet with a particular focus on the dissipation of Icebergs.

Arctic sea ice has depleted by up-to 10% in the past 30 years. This installation brings that narrative to life.

Should all #brands be investing more into the creativity and production value of their window displays?

The shopping districts have the opportunity to become art galleries for all and brands shouldn’t miss out on using their window displays to showcase their highest #creative expression.

Below is an example of how window displays can apply a high art lens to produce a vista perfectly suited for the likes of the Saatchi gallery.

Agnes and Anthony conceived and created a surreal paper art installation called ‘The Dream Hunter’ for the Hermès store in #Amsterdam. Steeped in dream-like storytelling and crafted from paper and recycled cardboard it sets the tone of how brands should address their window displays moving forwards.

Can clever use of colour boost morale in cities?

#councils need to invest more into placemaking and the liminal zones (the physical spaces between one destination and the next) are ripe for reinvention yet rarely touched by design.

Colourful expressions and vibrant art installations can boost morale within underprivileged parts of the city which can deliver the opposite of broken ‘window theory’ which is where seemingly minor instances of social and physical disorder in urban spaces can contribute to an atmosphere of lawlessness that encourages more serious crimes.

Below are a few examples of what that placemaking could look which I created using #Midjourney

STOP…designing spaces that are dictated by straight lines!

Spaces create feeling. Design worlds that envelope people in environments that WOW!

Take inspiration from nature and the power of undulating hills. Could we bring this into hospitality design for example?

In nature humans find their own perfect place to sit and relax. In design we should provide guests with the same choice for autonomy. Indoor hills allow us to find our perfect spot to sit or lie-down.

It resurrects our sense of wonder and exploration. Too often does design dictate utility and in some cases this is of course necessary but not always.

I want hotels that I can’t wait to explore and tell my friends about. Below are some extreme examples of spaces that excite me. I’ve worked with #midjourney to come up with a series of worlds that give you a sense of where we can take the future of #hotel #design and spatial design on the whole.

Let’s rethink the way people interact with the worlds we design and empower the consumer to connect with their environment in ways that are meaningful to them.

Have you ever seen an art exhibition on the beach? Check out the future of Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Beach!

Abu Dhabi Pearls project was established in 2007, which involves farming high-quality pearls using modern and sustainable practices. It set an ambitious goal of cultivating 80,000 oysters and producing 20,000 high-quality and sustainable pearls annually in the Emirate's waters.

Pearl Kingdom is an ephemeral series of immersive art installations that captures the sublime beauty and ethereal expression of the pearl and its significance on Abu Dhabi. Using beautiful shimmering material and sculpted framework people get to walk through the spirit of a pearl absorbing the visual majesty of this natural phenomenon and spotlighting its lifeforce through lighting design and scenic design.
