The library is the fountain of knowledge. From a fountain of knowledge flows critical thinking. From critical thinking flows democracy. From democracy flows our livelihoods.

We know what flows in the opposite direction, from defunding libraries. Let us defend our libraries like our liberation depends on it. Because it does. #ForOurLibraries

First they locked children in cages, now they want to leave children all alone in perhaps the most vulnerable and consequential moments of their lives. Nope. Not on our watch. #NoChildAlone

“Consultants” and “strategists” advised Democratic politicians to *not* name and challenge the racism and sexism that Trump used on voters during the 2024 election. Democrats largely did so. Trump’s bigotry won. Since the election, the same “consultants” and “strategists” have advised the same losing strategy. It is senseless: Not challenging racism and sexism when facing a president who draws his power from racism and sexism. We need an opposition that opposes the beating heart of Trumpism.

After the guilty verdict, Donald Trump will likely benefit from being a White man as he campaigns to be hired again as POTUS. As Trump dog whistles the message that White men like him are the victims of injustice, know that White men with a record get more job interviews than Black men with no record. Know that non-college educated White men with a record are slightly more likely to get interviews than collected-educated Black men with no record.

Trump *also* seems to think those he casts as destroying the Country violate the Law by their very being. Trump calls immigrants from Latin America, Asia, and Africa “illegals.” Trump frames queer people as “groomers.” Trump renders union security to be unlawful. Trump frames Muslims, especially Palestinians, as “terrorists.” Trump made “DEI” illegal as “DEI” is his code for Black people and women. Trump seems to think he isn’t violating the law by making our very being a violation of the law.
