Ranked #3 Amongst India’s Top 50 Most Influential Women 2024!

When I was 16, my mom and I were watching Doordarshan. She looked at me and said, ‘One day, I want to see you there.’ That moment sparked a dream in me, and I chased it with blinders on. Five years later, after having worked as a writer, producer, I finally accomplished it—I became a news anchor.

For the next five years, I pursued my career as a news anchor with passion, but deep down, my heart longed for something more. It wasn’t easy, but I took the leap. I quit my well-paying, stable job and decided to chase my dream, armed with nothing but a mobile phone and a selfie stick.

Starting over wasn’t easy. I was competing against 16-year-olds while being a mom to a three-year-old. But I kept going. I pushed myself until, one day, my first video went viral—and the rest is history.

Today, being ranked #3 among the top 50 most influential women of 2024, alongside pioneers from Netflix, Meta, FMCG giants, and media powerhouses, feels surreal. It’s a dream I never thought I’d see come true.

To all the women—mothers, daughters, sisters—chase your dreams relentlessly. Circumstances will never be perfect, but your persistence and resilience will carry you forward. And yes, a little bit of luck and destiny helps when the stars align at the right time.

Thank you to the amazing Curly Tales and for team, community and Impact for recognizing our work. This honor is not just mine—it belongs to my team and everyone who believed in our vision.

A special shoutout to my mother, for instilling dreams in me, to my husband and co-founder of Curly Tales, Sammar Verma —without him, achieving this scale of success wouldn’t have been possible. To my in-laws, who continue to be my strong pillar of support, and to my amazing colleague Khushboo Goradia who heavy-lifts every challenge along with me without a flinch—thank you for being my rockstars! This wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. ❤️

Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️

Spent an unforgettable day in the heart of Gachiroli district with the incredible tribes of Ahiri and Hedri! 🌿✨

It was so much fun exploring this beautiful side of Maharashtra, far from the hustle of city life. Living in Mumbai, I always thought that was the essence of Maharashtra but did you know that more than 50% of the state’s rural population actually resides in villages like these? 🏞️👣

It’s amazing to see how deeply connected these communities are with nature and their traditions. A true reminder of the diversity and richness Maharashtra holds beyond its cities. 🌾🌍

Kaho, The First Village Of India 🇮🇳

Nestled just 10 km from Tibet, this hidden gem is the first village from the Eastern most tip of India.

It is home to only 17 families of the Meyor tribe with a population of only 75 people. Despite being so remote, their warmth and simplicity will touch your heart.

The families were once divided between India and Tibet, but those who remain here miss no civilization and live joyfully in harmony with nature.

Beyond this point, no civilians are allowed, making it one of the last untouched places in India.
